I was physically woken up by how cold I was, and the heating kicked in at some point this morning.

It's June.

I can't get my head around turning the heating on in MID JUNE, but I am considering putting the heavier quilt back on the bed. It's staying cold the next two nights at least.

Yes, 21st of June but you won’t generally notice it for a good while after that. I think it’s only like a minute earlier a night it gets darker.

Well it's the longest day next week, so the days won't get any longer. But if I remember correctly, I think initially it starts getting lighter later rather than darker earlier. But give it a couple of weeks and yes, it'll start happening, albeit almost imperceptibly at first.

Love me the Summer Solstice although the Winter Solstice is a slightly bigger deal. Knocking around Stonehenge in the buff is all nice and popular in June but somehow, a lot of people less keen come December. CAN'T think why.

How depressing I absolutely love light evenings, and I've noticed in Wales it stays lighter just that little bit longer.

The only good thing about the winter time is my shop gets quieter and it's not as physically demanding.

The next 3 months are hell. But in a good way.

Well, yes, but the further north the more light you get in Summer, hence Shetland, which gets I think an hour more daylight than Edinburgh at the moment.
