Casualty wasn't in the top 50 this week, so it had less than 2.665m. It can't be doing any better than Holby when that was axed.

I haven’t watched it in quite some time but it is something that I have dipped in and out of for most of my adult life. I can go a year without watching then catch an episode then follow it again for a few months. This time around though I don’t think I have watched an episode since lockdown, or possibly before it.

I think I read that Holby City characters had moved over to Casualty?

Yes, it has to be relative, but particularly in terms of the commercial channels, if they aren’t bringing in the viewers like they used to, I can't imagine they bring in the ad revenue they used to, either.

One thing to remember is the chart I post only includes catch up viewing for the first 7 days. But I suspect that for the soaps, catch up viewing after that must be really quite low, whereas for dramas I think people are much more likely to watch them weeks or months after live broadcast.

Oh yes, one million percent. I don’t think soaps are quite the compulsive viewing they once were in that it doesn’t matter if you miss an episode, you will always catch up when you next decide to watch and it is mostly on in the background for me personally. I know a lot of people who don’t watch a drama until they can binge the series all at once. Quite a few now release the whole season after the first episode but the more established ones tend to still broadcast a new episode weekly.

That third episode of BGT was slightly up on the first of the series, after having dipped considerably from the first to the second.
 
Why do they keep saying once in a generation event? He’s 75. It’s not like he’s going to be having any significant jubilees.

Casualty made the top 20! Maybe not quite DEAD.
 
What did Nicole perform? Because she's not made any impression on iTunes like a lot of the acts.
 
Nicole was by far the best perf of the concert by a country mile and I had a look at all the mirror, sun, blah comments, that hate everything, she was amazing and even the hater brigade like her; but I think they were diverted by Mark Owen's hair :D

I don’t think she has released it and have no clue why she went for that song but she sounded incredible and looked fabulous.

That is pretty poor for the franchise, but I do think it was shown too soon after the normal series, and as it was pre recorded people probably struggled to connect as much as they do with the main show. I was really enjoying it, but like always my interest has waned a fair bit the more people have left.
 
I think the pre-record is undoubtedly the main reason.
 
Does a reality show exist where all contestants remain in for the whole duration? It probably does but I can’t think off the top of my head at this time of night.

The last season of Drag Race All Stars did this, the contestants got points throughout the competition rather than getting eliminated. It was quite an interesting experiment!
 
And if it's successful, I wouldn't be surprised if @bbcpress and @bbceurovision tweet it

EastEnders routinely adds around another 750k or so on catch up (and more again from multi screen viewing), which I doubt the ESC semis will match.

But then no doubt the performances will have thousands of YouTube views.

I know, right? :D

I only usually watch the final anyway, and rarely listen to any of the songs before that apart from the UK entry, although I was intrigued with Loreen’s Tattoo so did listen to that. Surely an EASY WINNER! It’s fantastic!
