TV Ratings 2026

The Voice UK seems to have dropped out of the top 50 entirely the last two weeks, which means fewer than 2.2m viewers.
It astounds me that The Voice is still going - for a big Saturday night shiny floor show, there's practically no buzz about it. And then there's the odd scheduling - this week's edition is from half 8 to half 10?!! Didn't it use to be on at teatimes?! I imagine ITV are predicting a big boost with Cheryl coming on board for the next series, but I think they'll be disappointed. I'm amazed they're even planning another series!

Yes, I don't see Cheryl making a significant difference at all - perhaps a little like Strictly for the first week this series, but minimal after that.

That sort of show only works for me if it is a show with a big buzz and audience, otherwise what's the point? The only thing I've heard about it recently is the loss of Tom Jones and Cheryl's hiring. I really do think ITV only stick with it as they have nothing else. Isn't the rest of their Saturday night line up repeats now? And they have struggled finding another hit format for Ant & Dec for a while.

I think I read it's the highest ratings since the first season on ITV which I can imagine they're very happy with.
Also worth noting that it doesn’t include device viewing, which traditionally is strong for Big Brother/ITV2 reality shows - I don't think it's unreasonable to add 20-25% to those figures.

It remains in the 10% - 15% audience share range, which for ITV2 is massive. The next highest show had 6%, for a Harry Potter film, but most of their shows are below 3%.

I know XF, The Voice etc. are TV shows foremost but as a music fan it's really hard to get into The Voice when nothing seems to happen with the artists after they've won? Like there's just no payoff for me.

Exactly that. At least with the X Factor (until it went down the toilet - and even then it was still about two or three times as popular as The Voice is now), you'd think this could be the start of a great career, or at least there would be a bit of initial chart action or even just the odd news story and low level fame. With The Voice nobody thinks that is even a vague possibility.

I agree with that entirely, despite there being someone from a past series of The Voice UK at number two in the UK charts right now

It's only really relevant in the way that KY Kelly was on Pop Idol though, isn't it?

BECKY HILL is the only one with some sort of long lasting career, right?

AND KEVIN LIBERTY X FAME

Even Becky Hill's success was despite The Voice.

It made for a semi-intetesting footnote in press articles, but really she broke out purely by virtue of jumping on the right rent-a-singer dance records.

Why on earth were Liberty X on The Voice? Had they lost faith in Kym Marsh ever returning their calls?
