Two minute Sunday

Little Kylie is taking part in a parade so we're up early. Can't wait to stand in the cold for 3 hours :argh:

Yeah my Godson chose football over cadets. Which is a nightmare for my mate who loses both her weekend mornings to watching under 13s play football and shits on our weekend drinking. Equally she was appalled at the prospect of her son in a faux-military uniform.

I wasnt keen on it but played the parent game of knowing full well any offspring of mine wouldnt last long at a hobby that involved being disciplined and regimented. I was right. We didnt even get as far as buying him some boots.

Well I managed a nine hour kip, which is hopefully good news for my 4.45 wake up tomorrow :argh: for work.

I'm split between high anxiety and excitement for getting back into work.

Morning loves!

Had a lovely morning beach stroll with a coffee and now I’m sat listening to Rumours and Mr Sheena is making a massive roast dinner for us and two friends coming over before we all decamp to the local for the meat raffle.

Perfect Sunday.

It is a gorgeous day here after seemingly a month of dullness and rain.

I've had breakfast and made mushroom soup for later. Going to do a walk, go to my new gym which I'm excited about because it's in a hotel with a lovely pool and spa etc, and then I'll settle in.

It will be a horribly busy week so trying to make today count.

I'm shaky stevens today

I actually woke up this morning and decided I need to start planning CHRISTMAS. I am leaving Scotland again this week for a fortnight in the sun before decamping to Ireland until a few days before Christmas so I really need to have everything planned before I leave. 18 of us this year at the house so I need to make sure that when we return the house is a winter wonderland. :santa:

I am NOT one of those who start Christmas in a November and once this is sorted it will go to the back of my mind until DECEMBER where it belongs.

Although I am planning on spending the day online shopping for CHRISTMAS PRESENTS too.

Well it's beautiful this morning. Done Aldi and work clothes shopping already. Feeling quite physically beaten down. I don't know how else to describe it.

We've started Xmas shopping, but that's ACCEPTABLE

I feel it’s best to be organised with that or you can end up in all sorts of trouble. Those who do all of their shopping on Christmas Eve are psychotic in my eyes.

I have hot sweats and my body temperature has dropped to 34.

Am I dying?

I'm still in bed because FUCK IT

If your temperature really is 34 then you need to DO SOMETHING.

It's back up to 36.5

I think it was just a panic attack, which is fine! :hostage:

I would love to have 18 over for Christmas, I love hosting and feeding loads of people.

That said I’m looking forward to it this year after being away last year. Alternating the vibe over christmas does make it more special.

Speaking of food I’ve just made a focaccia dough to go with this afternoons puttanesca, and my timing was accidentally perfect that it’ll need turning out at half time and be ready to go in the oven after the game and prep. 👌

One of the older girls had been chosen as flag bearer. Halfway through the march as they paused, another pushy parent took the flag and bucket from the girl and gave it to his son. He then let his son carry it throughout the service up front while he shoved his way to the front to take pictures. Then on the march back his son didn't want to carry it so he took it and dragged it along the floor on the way back.
I was fuming. If it had been my unit I would have told him to do one :argh:

I've got a sense of Christmas anxiety looming. Primarily regarding my mum, who she will be with and how she'll be. Still, I can't control that and there are a few weeks yet before I need to worry about it, so I'll try to just park it for the time being. And perhaps start present wrapping, because that's getting to a point where it will tip into overwhelming soon if I don't.

I'm still in bed :D

I don't think I'm even going to DO Christmas this year :disco:

Apparently my brother and I are invited to my dad's lady friend's daughter's but I can't imagine that they are expecting either of us to actually ACCEPT THE INVITATION

Get someone else to wrap for you. Saves me lots of time.
