Forced to resign part way during an election campaign? I doubt they'd even have a say if Parliament was dissolved.

My finger is hovering over the annual leave request tool at work to get Friday 5th July off if this goes ahead.

All night Tory wipeout party!
I’ve already got the day after the US Election off but I imagine that’ll be a night filled with DREAD.

Don't book a flight on July 5th, it will just be full of sad Tories leaving the country.

Honestly, I have to give two months notice, but they can pull this?

Sky News are calling it (of course we literally know, by this stage)

Relatively small detail, but I guess Starmer is now going to have to definitively pull the trigger on whether to let Diane Abbott back into the party or run somebody against her.

Back into the abyss

I've just booked 5th July off. If it's the next week, I'm already off. If it's totally wrong, I can cancel.

I wonder if Sunak thinks the flagwaving that usually goes with a sporting tournament will benefit the Tories.
