UK General Election 2024 - Results Day

I’m going to need more pens.

I'm pretty disgusted that the Tories are looking at 131 - we may not see as many of the Portillo moments that we were hoping for.

Keith has not done anything “extraordinary”, Laura, he’s just NOT THE TORIES! Ugh. Anyway

It’s a bit of a miss for the MRP polls. Didn’t YouGov give a 99% chance of beating Blair’s 418?

Yes, the polls are looking really quite poor. I was hoping for the Tories to have 70-80 seats at maximum.

Reform 13 is very disturbing :bruised: also disappointing the Tories have managed triple figures. Hopefully the exit poll hasn’t been able to handle the widespread tactical voting this time. From a personal point of view, 61 Lib Dem makes it very likely that my constituency will not have a Tory MP for the first time in almost 200 years :disco:

At this time of the night, we raise a glass to the departed Huw Edwards.

Labour seat prediction consistent with getting about the same vote share as Corbyn 2017.

SUCH DISCOURSE POTENTIAL

Channel 4 already saying that it's a bad result for Labour! It's just been described as a "loveless landslide"!

Fuck me, Alastair Campbell has just told Dorries to "get over Boris Johnson" and she is PRICKLY.

I think the BBC are winning my vote tonight

Kuenssberg is usually a no, but TELEVISED DEAD AND DESPONDENT Steve Baker? YES PLEASE
