UK General Election 2024 - Results Day

Wait what is this shit?

We're not done yet

Why are the BBC droning on about fucking Andy Murray?

I missed the context for this, has anyone seen if the footage is on twitter yet of the protests during her count announcement?

I'm totally out of the loop on the Jess Phillips drama. Why was the Yardley election so hostile? Israel?

Hurry up Liz FFS!

There's quite a few of them left to declare. Very interested to see how Selby & Ainsty goes given the by-election win. And Beverley, which was predicted to be Labour by many MRPs.

Selby Labour HOLD :disco:

BBC finally calls North Herefordshire for the Greens, confirming they've hit their target of four seats.

Is the implication that Liz Truss has STORMED OUT before the result is made public? AMAZING

I know nobody else cares, but after a long wait my constituency (South Cotswolds) has finally been announced as a Lib Dem gain (by 10% over the Tories too!), meaning we have our first non-Tory MP in 200 years :disco: a little emotional! Chippenham and Devizes & Melksham also went Lib Dem, they’ve done amazingly here in Wiltshire (although they should’ve done, we’ve had leaflets almost every day of the campaign!)

I'm finally back home 😍 and yes, I'm back at work this afternoon

3 Labour wins, 1 slightly unhinged pro-Gaza candidate who spent the entire evening prowling around the count in very tall high heels, shouted at the audience in her concession speech, then sang Free Palestine to the tune of I Want Candy before getting her mic cut off. Queen!

I LOVE HER

Just as things were wrapping up, she gives us another moment

She really has stropped off in a tantrum hasn't she?
