I mean, he compared the Ukrainian resistance to Brexit, so hopefully more slip-ups like that to keep him in the bad books please.
 
He was never going to go. It really did seem to convince a lot of people on moopy that it was going to happen but I never believed it for a second. I have no faith in the justice system of this country for something so logical to have happened.
 
I wouldnt say Boris has gotten away with anything on the parties yet, there is still more to come, and the fines show there was parties after he deliberately said there wasnt. The war will have been a welcome distraction, but this still hasnt gone away.

Agreed and even if this doesn’t get him (and I suspect it will not), him and the government remain holed below the water line. The inability to regain a poll lead despite leading the generally well received response to the war in Ukraine is telling. Backbenches MPs actively voicing against at 2023 election suggests things are look bad for them on the ground.

The Tories really are leaning-in to weaponising gender now, abled by the Mail. Not sure it will be of much benefit, I remain confident most people couldn’t care less (in the best possible way) about an individual’s gender.

Good for James and I hope being able to be open about this is a relief for them.
 
Yeah, i’m hoping that Keir Starmer is able to call them out basically using trans people as a scapegoat and distraction from the cost of living crisis.

It will be interesting how they manage this given that there is now a trans person in their ranks? It will be hard for them to lean fully into the culture war with a trans person in their ranks. Although as a couple of trans people have pointed out, it really depends how Wallis approaches things. They are a Tory after all…

Streeting is the Shadow SoS for Health as well… doesn’t give me much hope for trans healthcare under a Labour administration!
 
What’s eating JHB (apart from Laurence Fox) that this exercises her so much? I cannot fathom a life lived getting a bee in your bonnet about other people’s private lives.

The response from Labour, in my view, should be to not engage with these frankly trolling questions and make an appeal for simple kindness - we need a departure from the binary thought that is being increasingly pushed here. That cannot bear repeating enough.

Entirely unsurprising. They've been squirming for a way to get out of any meaningful legislation on that for years.
