Can we leave God out of this (and if he/she/them is up there, I am sure they think Boris is a pillock too)

Also, Steve Baker doesn’t strike me as the most forgiving of souls when he has a bee in his bonnet. Presumably such godly forgiveness does not cut both ways.

It won't happen (mostly for the reasons in the third tweet - though they'd carry their own consequence!), but god, could you imagine how delicious this would be? 😈

It’s not 100% legally watertight. The statute refers to the Committee on Standards, not the Committee on Privileges.

Bryant doesn’t even know:

Surely, SURELY, this is the end for Johnson?
My guess right now is that there probably aren't the numbers to get rid of him and that they'll cope their way through bad local election results this year and Wakefield, but that they'd have a harder time coping through a bad set next year (particularly as they'll be council seats last fought in 2019, when they did really badly) and a viable replacement will be more likely to have turned up by then. Also a lot hinges on how the likely reshuffle sacking Rishi goes after the locals.

He’s not going anywhere (part 754) but I’m enjoying knowing that his legacy is now tainted forever and he will be remembered as the corrupt, useless, elitist, pompous, shameless sham of a PM most of us knew he would be

And best of all, he will know it too. Because that will eat at him forever

Except it won’t eat at him forever because it’s water off a duck’s back for people like that with strong psychopathic traits. He’ll just swan onto the next job title or pocket the next £500K for a speech at some oligarch soirée and that will be his focus

I'm not so sure. His ego is very frail. As is common with narcissists. He will hate that he slimed and slithered his way into a position he never deserved purely to prove to others he could do it, not out of any sense of duty, and then failed to succeed. He measures success by reputation, not by results. Yes there'll always be an element of delusion, but it's not gone the way he'd imagined. That's for sure.

Johnson will have an after-life because he'll always be quotable. Freed from public office, his delusion and privilege will meld into a supercuntiness never before seen and the right wing papers will be queuing up to hear from him.

Ugh true. I'm hoping he fucks off to America at least.

I honestly don’t think he cares one little bit. The only thing that would eat at him would be if he’s made to go

Minister for Brexit opportunities and Government efficiencies sounds like something out of Hunger Games
