It's like ever-decreasing levels of SHIT HUMAN BEINGS they keep propping up as Prime Ministers, it'd be REMARKABLE if we didn't have to suffer the consequences.
 
Liz Truss seems like someone who changes her opinion to fit her career trajectory. Her entire persona is built on old clips of her saying things that contradict everything she says now

No wonder she has done well in this government

I'm obsessed with this bloody by-election. I'm not expecting the Lib Dems to actually win, but I genuinely believe they'll massively reduce the Tory majority which is all that's needed to make Johnson's position untenable.

Odds of a tory victory shortened a lot in the last day. Even lib dem local polling put the tories ahead (just). I think they'll hold it but they fucking shouldn't.

I think Labour may have sealed the deal for the Tories. Like I say, I'm not actually bothered if the Tories get in because by all accounts they'll have gone from a 23,000 majority to potentially a few hundred, which is absolutely CATASTROPHIC for them.

This is the super difficult thing. In seats like this, Lib Dems are basically soft Tories. I know its not quite as simple as that, but for many right-wing minded people, it is. Hence why you can see why Labour supporters might have trouble voting for them.

My dad has never forgiven me for asking him to vote Lib Dem in 2010. :D
