The Scum is reporting that the planned 🇬🇧 ESC act has been dropped due to past online comments and that it has nothing to do with the Middle East. Now the BBC has found a replacement during this week.

Now streets are saying that Freya Skye (who did jESC 4 years ago with "Lose My Head") is the entrant. She's 16 now and is making a career in US on Disney Channel right now.

I think the Freya Skye thing is the usual “she brought out an EP a few days ago with some 3 minute songs on it so it must be her” speculation.

I've listened to a couple of her songs and I absolutely hated them.
They're very generic Heart FM bopz. They all sounded like radio fodder and I can't see how any of them would translate to a live performance.

Beyond that, she seems to be doing pretty well in America as it is so I don't see why she'd bother.

The rumour for Loren has come from the fact that her manager is one of the team responsible for picking the UK act.

I don’t think it’s Freya. She has a recording contract with Disney (Hollywood Records), though her EP is out on vinyl on 15th May, the Day before the Eurovision final. This is the rumoured song, which is very nice in a Sabrina Carpenter-lite way.

I've heard much much worse ideas than Michelle Visage

I enjoyed her Stepping into LSL live on Graham Norton for Steps very much for the noted track.

Silent Treatment is already top 20 on US Pop Radio, play listed on Capital etc.

I think there’s next to no chance that something with that kind of backing is also our Eurovision entry. Just an easy guess to grab onto because of her previous ties to JESC is all I can see it being.

Scott said the song sounds like a mix of Blur, Pet Shop Boys and Verka Seduchka, among others, and that it was ‘anthemic’. Sounds like a racket.

“I want you to imagine a bit of Basshunter Now You’re Gone, and then put a bit of Parklive Blur in there, and then maybe you would add in a bit of West End Girls Pet Shop Boys, maybe the synths of the Human League. Sprinkle a bit of Verka Seduchka in there. Maybe just a tiny bit of Sex Pistols. Stick all that in a blender and create a big anthem to take on Eurovision. One that I can imagine they will be singing in that arena.”
[…]
“It’s very British […] Yes there are synths […] But it’s also got that massive song-a-long moment.”

Having just given a little listen to his TOP HITS on Spotify, he's not bad, and is bringing a very specific 'music you'd hear while shopping for lurid neon skinny jeans at Topman' energy.

He has the vibe of a friendly person I'd work very hard not to make eye contact with on public transport
