In short: not exactly Girls Aloud. Some people will be sad about that. The rest of us will breathe a sigh of relief. The world does not need a Girls Aloud in 2019. What the world might need, however, is a girlband making music is as interesting, and as unsecondguessable, and as confident as Girls Aloud's once was. And that wouldn't actually sound like Girls Aloud's music, would it? It would sound totally different.

I quite like it, although I don’t think it’s very seasonally appropriate. Much more suitable for those hot summer nights when I’m relaxing by the pool with my celebrity friends. I like the drum sound and also the guitar :)

That said, I did feel quite bored halfway through but I wouldn’t be averse to hearing it again. You know, maybe just the once, possibly while browsing in Debenhams

And as IF Popjustice wouldn’t be CRYING AND SHAKING at anything remotely resembling a 2019 Girls Aloud track.
 
It sounds like a Mania song. I’m guessing these girls will go the same way.
 
Thought the song was crap, not an ounce of charisma from any of them and I know unperfect is a valid word but I hate the name. I bet they don’t even know it’s an old fashioned, dying out alternative to imperfect.
 
If Xenomania want to invest in this non-starter, my only complaint will be if they give them something that would be better served by Nadine.

They mostly sing quite deep so when the squeaky one comes in, it's actually dead funny.

They’re like a particularly doomed Mini Viva except without the fabulous songs. What ARE Xenomania thinking of?
 
Are the jazzy guitar licks intended to invoke the MANDY so-called classic ‘I Just Can’t Wait’ which was of course HUGE IN EUROPE? :side-eye:
 
The listless lo-fi production values, lack of star quality and slight air of embarrassment were definitely giving me 2019 Vanilla vibes. It's like they won a prize to make a music video in the office raffle.
