Taylor does have a fanbase that completely mobilises her, fair point. But I think it is also fair to say there is certainly a solid chunk of her hits that have more than crossed over to the general public alongside perhaps some more ‘fanbase #1’s’.

Certainly more than Westlife or this lot.

I don’t think so, most of their #1s haven’t even made the year end chart the years they topped the Hot 100. Not entirely surprising since they tend to sink without a trace after a few weeks. I’m looking at their chart history and Butter /Dynamite somewhat crossed over but that’s it.

Taylor has plenty of memorable /juggernaut hits I’d say, but many haven’t hit #1. Her #1s seem kind of random in comparison and are generally front loaded. Ariana is in a similar boat.
