When was the last time somone said something original and worthwhile on the news Channel? They're the same talking points as they were 6 hours ago!

I went to bed at about 10 so I didn't even see Trump's speech. Bannon calling for beheadings is a lot worse but also not because Bannon doesn't have the audience.

I feel sorry for any of you fuckers who stayed up all night only for something of note to happen IN THE MORNING.

God I hope the Georgia lead maintains and extends to the point where it’s JUST over the margin, so Donald Trump has to pay for the inevitably demanded recount instead of the state :disco:

Although the only issue with such a tight race, is it feeds in to his rhetoric, so hoping the other states all go blue as well

If Georgia announce (don't know how likely that is?) That'll put Biden on a PAINFUL 269. Come Nevada, I feel like today's your day! :emoji_fingers_crossed:

Georgia won't officially declare for weeks. They have military votes to tally which will come in late.

The CNN headlines were something else last night

This must have already been said but why did they not get a few more people in to count the votes to avoid this interminable idiocy? I‘m sure the local brown bears would have been thrilled to help out in Alaska in return for a tasty bit o’ fish :disco:

I'm enjoying Trump's brood attacking the Republicans for not supporting him enough. That's right, Trump voters, you should stay home for the Senate run off elections in January. That'll show them.

I've just finished saying this in the daily thread - we can manage an entire General Election on a few old dears, two pots of Tetley and a packet of custard creams so what's this absolute shit?

In 2016, did any states take days like this to announce?

It was a foregone conclusion and of course Hillary conceded during election night, so did that already-known outcome help speed along the announcements? Or were some of them sluggish like they're being now?

It doesn't help that our entire election system is complicated yet inefficient, the people doing the counting are mostly older, and one of the two parties is actively against successful elections. Add that each state handles elections differently, and it leads to this shit. Its reminiscent of how we handle everything.

The votes in that election were more normally distributed, so if Trump was winning by 52% in a county it was broadly staying that way the whole night. Also in person voting can be processed very quickly anyway. So projecting was easier. Since the disparity is so vast between in person and mail is so stark, it makes this election harder to project.

Oh, I think this election has laid absolute bare how deliberate some of it is. The inefficiencies seem baked in on purpose.
