I'm not an expert on election law, but I find it quite incredible for the GOP to take this position AFTER election day. Mail in ballots were always going to be a critical component of this election due to the sheer volume of them, pandemic, and data that apparently skewed it to the dems. It would have been much more prudent of the GOP to challenge it and get a decision on the mail in ballots, "late" counting etc BEFORE the election. They have no credibility, even when I try to understand their position.

I don't think many people outside Trump's inner circle seriously believe that they *can* invalidate the election at this point. This is damage control, pure and simple.

Off by about 2-3 points on Biden's lead nationally, a fairly normal sized polling error. But as was made clear for a very long time during the campaign, Biden's lead was so big that Trump needed an extraordinarily-sized polling error to stand a chance of winning.
