There were reports a while back about Jamie Dimon (CEO of JP Morgan) being looked at for a cabinet position, which is just... there are no words. Hopefully not! Liz Warren won't get anywhere near a cabinet post I don't think, same with Bernie Sanders. They're probably both seen as more valuable staying in the Senate, to be fair.

Is Massachusetts save enough to trigger a Senate special election? They lost it in the early days of the last Democratic administration.

I hope they use the cabinet to give opportunities for red state Democrats to shine. Buttigieg, O’Rourke, Abrams etc.

Another thing worth noting, if the Democrats do manage to win the two Georgia senate run-offs - and given the energy in that State right now I'm optimistic - watch out for Joe Manchin of West Virginia to become one of the most famous, and contentious, politicians in the country.

God I love the Internet sometimes.
:D

Not enough LOLS

There's a picture where he looks like he is doing a face palm. You couldn't script it, honestly.

Even though he lost, I do hope Jaime Harrison retains his profile. Maybe he could do for South Carolina what Stacy Abrams did for Georgia.

OMG he's really not going to give this up, is he? :D

Philadelphia isn't the kingmaker any more. He'd have to successfully reverse the results in at least three states to claw this back.

Oh, the delicious perils of being a sociopathic narcissist who surrounds himself only with yes men.

CNN kept saying that Jared had (according to sources) broached the subject of conceding. Obviously that conversation went well.

I AM UPSIDE DOWN, NAKED AND DEAD.

I suspect Trump is privately gutted and mentally conceded but the tweets and court stuff is maintaining a front. He's very skilled at kidding himself. It reminds me of me in the fall out of a Moopy tag scandal.

Did anyone catch Raab on Sky News (I know, I know)? Watching him squirm attempting to respond to
Tommy Vietor's tweet was fun. As was him categorically refusing to answer the entirely reasonable question as to whether, in a democratic election, ALL votes should be counted. :eyes:

All this about Fox News tone shift still fascinating me. CNN have started speculating.

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/07/business/fox-news-rupert-murdoch-trump/index.html

it won’t last, but it might last until Trump has gone and eyes are on a new conservative front runner. It’ll be interesting what the likes of Sean Hannity have to say, I doubt Murdoch will be able to muzzle him, but generally speaking there already has been a distinct softening of rhetoric from Fox.

Lots of Republicans already have their eyes on Pence or Ted Cruz for 2024. In addition to the diabolical Tucker Carlson, who is arguably even more sinister than Trump.

Four years is a long time, but I reckon they'll try and cover their bases by running a more 'traditional' Republican (a Cruz or Romney type) and give them a MAGA running mate. Maybe it could be that QAnon woman who just got elected!

OMG I was on a bit of a delay but did anyone else see the CNN anchor's summation of the Four Seasons debacle following his interview with the surprisingly pragmatic Larry Hogan? It was all he could do to keep a straight face! :D

I expect he'll concede at some point soon, but not in a traditional way. He'll continue moaning and making idle threats but he'll basically do it knowing he's out the door.

I don’t need reminding that he has a penis, thanks very much.

I can't remember a vice President election getting as much attention as Kamala. For OBVIOUS REASONS.

Her speech last night was the first time I thought maybe she actually could win under her own steam in 2024. Obviously a lot can change in four years, but she definitely has something about her that people can connect to. Her primary campaign this time around was pretty weak, but I think the time for her as VP just feels right, and if Biden stays the course for four years then steps aside to give her the shot, I can see people getting behind her.

*Bookmarks for ironic bump in four years when she suffers a worse defeat than Hilary Clinton at the expense of some gun toting psychopath*

I’m a bit far behind, just watched parts of the speech and I’m almost in love with Daddy Joe. He seems so ANGELIC compared to Trump.
