NRM Club 69 speed mix is one for the FireIsland gays (hi AndreasK). Not really my vibe
 
Providing the soundtrack to my gym session as we speak.

These remixes work so much better in edited form and as a whole than they did as extended versions back in the day.

It was never a remix you could dance to but I’d forgotten how well the strings in The Power of Goodbye work here.
 
(And I still wonder if that’s her greatest vocal to be honest…the little girl lost defiant wobble in the chorus is just magical)
 
It was my gym soundtrack too, and I was about to comment how well it's sequenced until I realised that's just dumb luck as it's in the same order as the original album
 
I wish they'd put the similar American Life RSD release on streaming too...
 
I was expecting more to be honest… why not put the other demos and rarities from the era on here?

By the way - notice also how this is part of the “silver” collection like the other pointless silver reissues
I suspect their bigger plan to keep fleecing us is to have gold, platinum and maybe even diamond collections down the line…
I am certain this return to Warner pretty much guarantees they’ll be planning to milk her catalogue for all it’s worth.. the only major obstacle is of course Madonna herself.
Apparently there are two other releases lined up and ready just waiting for her two green light them …

But she’s no obstacle really. She’s already shown she gives zero fucks with what’s come out so far- the variants, the bare bones reissues, the “limited editions” that then reappear in a different format (this isn’t the first time) and do not get me started on the fucking £50 for a record sleeve without a record in it SCAM.
 
She’s too busy on Instagram to care at this point. I’ll be glad when she sells her catalog and maybe we can get some decent sets before I die

Oh I only meant she’s an obstacle in that everything still has to go past her and get her approval. Even the concepts. Let alone adding bonus content which she clearly gives no fuck about . Remember how she famously kiboshed poor Caresse’s box set in 2004… it’s just her MO.

Maybe not but I’d rather her make a billion off it and enjoy her work rather than it being fought over when she’s dead
 
To be honest though I know we’re all moaning but I’m still glad at least something is being done and stuff is being released . Never thought I’d see it in my lifetime
Let’s face it we’re older now!
 
Oh I nearly cried when GGG finally hit official release even though we have had it for 20 years or whatever.
 
What upsets me a little though is why she’s iced William Orbit out of the VE project. It’s bizarre. I know that he said a few things about MDNA after it was released that she probably didn’t like and I know she doesn’t forgive and forget but he still worships at her alter and surely if he was involved we would have had an even better product
