on an egotistical and insensitive note, I am very pleased with how few people are about in Copenhagen. went for a walk last night around some of the usually very busy areas like Christianshavn and Nyhavn and it was just magical
and there was a guy blowing his trumpet in the sunset on his balcony which is much better than fucking clapping

I did that about three weeks ago. Regretted it a few days later, so went back. Then regretted THAT a week later.
Given up caring now. Getting a decent night's sleep isn't going to happen for weeks/months anyway, I suspect.

I haven't been able to log into my work's VPN since 3pm yesterday despite trying up until 9pm last night and 7am this morning. Was on hold to IT for an hour and half on Monday just to be told there's heavy traffic (no shit) and to keep trying. Oh and I'm no longer on the list for a work laptop because "there are no laptops left".
This is one of the biggest insurers in the country so it's all a bit PATHETIC if you ask me.

My sister works for an insurer too and casually had to buy 1,000 laptops for people to work from home. Which was all great until they realised it was going to be IMPOSSIBLE to configure them the right way in any kind of reasonable timescale this side of 2025

Today I was RUDELY AWOKEN at 11am to be asked if we were including shipping on an invoice or billing for it separately, FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF LOVE, you do OWN THE COMPANY.

Not that is Manchester, but I've found the trips into town eeary, depressing and rather dystopian. My favourite pubs boarded up, shops with sad wilting 'see you soon' notes in the window and the pockets of life being the sound of delivery drivers and dying homeless people.

I think I'm going to go down my local shopping street for my walk today to see if it's quieter than the river. I might play GUESS WHAT'S STILL OPEN. I'm thinking Boots, Superdrug, Sainsburys, Iceland, M&S and the little newsagent/off-licence places. But what about WILKO, SAVERS and POUNDLAND.
