Wednesday braves Buble

Go on strike if you're concerned about your working conditions?

Damn, I missed Friends Reunited's twentieth birthday yesterday. RIP huns xxx

I got a bit drunk last night

works already fun this morning :D:eyes:

My old flatmates put me in touch with someone who wants my spare room who's coming round on Friday.

I've been loving living alone though, but i'm getting quite DEPRESSED it's not viable financially long term.

I did look at some CHARMING studios in LEYTONSTONE within my budget though, but it seems ludicrous to pay more money to live in a worst flat in a worst area rather than bite the bullet and get a flatmate.

I may have got a bit drunk last night and had a fuckload of curry so I’m also feeling fairly dreadful in “work.”

Haven’t moved from my bed yet.

If they can guarantee social distancing etc, why should there be a problem? I'd trust them more than Star's employer.

We had a left the other day from the shop floor. Goes to show people are just walking around unaccompanied touching everything!

It’s the lack of PPE that’s worrying us, and the fact that we’re only to see people ‘in emergencies’, yet we’re throwing open the doors and having to tell them face to face whether or not they’re allowed in (we’ve had to call the police a few times on people who’ve threatened us during lockdown). Plus, they have to physically come onto the premises before we triage them. Even if they’re showing symptoms.

My employer is very much sounding out seeing the most vulnerable clients again, but because my job is based in GP surgeries, we have to follow the policy of the several dozen surgeries we work out of. And they all tend to be very slightly different.

At the surgery where I see most clients though, I will be in scrubs and PPE, and the screening process is applied five times from the initial booking to the face to face appointment itself - a combination of in person, phone and text screens.

Five times wow :o A friend of mine who is a local GP has similar at her practice. And I notice dentists/vets do a one in one out thing too

why can't they be triaged by phone?
We’re not booking appointments, so these will all be drop ins who insist on being seen face to face. If they have a phone or internet access at home, they’ll be told they can’t come in. Can’t wait to see how that plays out, and how many ‘just this once’ exceptions we’re told to make.

My vet doesn't even allow non-staff into the building. If you're taking your pet for an appointment you have to ring them from the carpark when you arrive and a nurse comes out in scrubs and visor and takes the pet from you. The vet does the consultation/gives you results or diagnosis by phone while you're sat in the car and the nurse brings the pet back out when they're done.

Same for my vets.

Which basically means they can't see my dog, because my dog loves to bite vets.

I haven’t taken my old girl to the vet in quite some time. I was going to take her in for a check up but I don’t want to cause her unnecessary distress and she is happy as a pig in shit plodding along as she is. Should I be taking her for a check up?

Opticians booked. Cheers @Star

I do feel worse today. Throat is starting to crack a bit. I hate slow burn illnesses.

It's been a shit day actually. The archive I was working from ended my access today. Devastated.

Although my tax rebate came through.

Let me know how you get on!

Oh I'm fine, thankyou. Nothing's got any worse so I'm calling it a chill and nowt more than that. :D

Fab! Not that your feeling under the weather, but that it’s not anything more sinister.

I got out of bed at 11am. I've been in bed since 6pm.

I can't work out if I'm depressed or just a bit under the weather.

Having a bit of a paranoid evening thinking I might have fallen for a scam on the phone and given away all of my information YAY!

OK so there’s a 99% it’s legit... it was Carphone Warehouse offering an upgrade on the day that I’m due one, as they have done in the past. It was only after I hung up I did start wondering about a couple of strange things during the call, and then of course I ended up down a Google rabbit hole.

Anyway I’ve emptied and frozen my cards in the meantime as I can’t confirm it was legit until tomorrow morning when customer services opens. :eyes:
