Wednesday breaks Moopy due to using too many GIFs

I got a £550 laptop repair for F R E E today. It's all coming up RONALD

I was just on my way out to go to Tesco at 6.30pm when FaceTime rang. I stupidly answered it. It was the spawn in tears, almost hysterical, because she'd "broken the car" and "it's going to cost thousands to mend". I got all panicky because she was so upset, asked where she was (it was obviously a car park somewhere) and I was going to jump in the car and drive up there (even though it takes an hour). After fifteen minutes it turned out that she'd just used the wrong seat-belt attachment on the dog's harness and it had got jammed and wouldn't come out again so she couldn't get the dog out of the car. I managed to calm her down and told her to drive home and get a butterknife and wiggle it about while pressing the red button and it should come loose. It did. Just as I was saying goodbye my mobile rang and it was my mum so I had half an hour on the phone listening to her slag off my auntie and I'd just finished that call when my sister in law rang me. So I'm not getting to Tesco tonight. They'd better have some Easter eggs left tomorrow!

I bought two Easter eggs with the idea of bringing them back home but they were eaten as soon as I got back from the supermarket. I did manage to buy one on Monday that has been left uneaten but I’ll be surprised if it lasts to Sunday :eyes:

Drunken singing coming from the people who have been in the park near my flat all day. I find that's usually a reliable indicator that people are complying with social distancing rules.

A friend of mine came over for a few socially distanced garden drinks. In 90 minutes, he drank a bottle of wine, half a bottle of rum and two beers.

His walk home did not go so well. Two of my garden chairs didn't fare too well either.

In short: it is not impossible. People are just cutting loose.

Having said that, i've seen a lot of images on TV and locally of groups in parks that are clearly above the maximum allowable.

Yeah, they've fucked off now, so I'm sure it's fine. I just want everyone to behave themselves until the pubs are open and I can see whether I've still got any friends.

It isn’t going to be warm until further notice is it? That should help things, although I suppose people may be tempted to just meet inside.

Feeling a bit mentally WOBBLY today, not sure why. Maybe just a bit jangly about the new job? It’s my own stupid brain doing all this though

So I was ranting that work is now closing Fridays and expecting us to do the same hours which makes 9 1/4 hours per day Mon-Thurs but that they're Morning People (aka cunts) (jkjk, morning people) and everyone wants to go home by 5 so would be looking at 7:15 starts

Luckily they agreed to 7:45 start and 5:30 finish and half hour lunch. Not as nice as the 8-5 with hour lunch and 5 hour Friday from before, but tolerable. I can deal with getting out of bed 15 minutes earlier, a lot easier than 45 minutes earlier. So begins the brave new world of 4 day weeks, I just wish it was "32 hours and still be paid the same" (lol) and not "37 hours crammed into 4 days or you take a pay cut"

Well that’s shit, what’s the point of a day off if they make you work the hours during the week?
