Well, here we go again.

I know it was inevitable when the job market opened again but there's been QUITE the bail out in here. Oddly, most of 'em are going in a completely different direction work/career-wise. Post lockdown reflection on life, the universe and everything?

Have a team building / ‘customer relations’ training thing today. I may kill. It is essentially being run by a highly banded staff member who has shit all to do to justify her employment.

Oh @lolly LOVES these type of sessions :o

Team-bonding/building is waste of time. You just end up finding out who enjoys that type of thing and hating them.

In the office today. I'm still reaching to find the point.
Of our team of six the one other person who was meant to be in decided last minute to WFH so now sat here all alone. Ridiculous. Going home at lunchtime

Our team building this year was thankfully just a walk around Westonbirt Arboretum, with some 'games' thrown in. We're a team of about thirty five, but the nature of our work has always been that we rarely see each other, although within that there may be some people who we see back at the office if we're there at the same time. But we were instructed we were only allowed to walk with people who we don't normally speak with.

Thank fuck I didn't go.

Deffos think there is a big exodus/change happening, I know a few people who've jacked it all and gone solo recently.

We'll probably have our first proper christmas party this year, which will be as much 'team building' as we do. Food, booze and then me inevitably losing my shit when my business partner starts dishing out corporate coke.

We have our first proper Christmas party this year too and there’s talk of it involving an escape room for team building :zombie: I swiftly vetoed this and said let’s do Christmas markets instead.

I haven’t met any of my current team face to face as I started this role during covid so I’m actually looking forward to judging meeting everyone in person.

In the office today and spending most of my time complaining about how I don’t need to be in the office. I think I’ll have Covid symptoms next Wednesday.

Someone in my block has named their wi-fi "Real Housewives of Hammersmith". Insert appropriate stupid smiley/gif here

Somebody get them refugee status quick, they’re not safe in there :(

Someone in my neighborhood has named their wifi POUTANA which basically means whore. The thing is that it appears to come up only when a specific family is here therefore I think it's them. What's worse is that I think it's unintentional, the mom can be a Karen sometimes and my suspicion is that some mobile phone technician that she must have drove nuts named it this way to revenge prank her.

In 2015, my friend named her WiFi Trump2016 when it all seemed like a joke...

Started reversing out of my parking spot to come home from work, my phone rang (in my handbag) and it was Mr F's ringtone (Smack My Bitch Up) so, thinking it must be something urgent for him to ring when he knows I'm driving home, I stopped and put the car into neutral and answered it. I couldn't hear anybody on the other end so was shouting "hello! hello!" for about a minute and getting worried he'd had a medical emergency. Suddenly he answered and asked how I'd got into his phone, bit confusing so I told him he rang me and what the feck did he want because the traffic was building up on the road at the end of the carpark and it's going to take ages to get home now. He'd been in the kitchen and his phone was in the living-room with its case closed and he thought he heard something so wandered round and realised it was a voice shouting hello! out of it.

His phone is either haunted or there's some Big Brother technofuckery going on.
