I was actually glad when we took them down last Saturday, but at that stage they had been up for 5 weeks and the tree had been shedding needles whenever you looked at it for too long...

Just had to phone the fire brigade because a car’s been set on fire in one of the lanes behind our house and has just exploded. It’s at least half a mile away but still, bit of excitement of a Wednesday evening.

That reminds me of the time i nearly died this week.
I came downstairs after a hard afternoon in my upstairs office, only to find my kitchen was full of gas from the hob. Mrs. Indie doesn't know how to cook and thought the smell was TCP. I COULD HAVE DIED
