Wednesday gets wet

I had a very lurid dream last night that involved over a dozen guys over 4 countries.

Yeah it's damp and dreary, but on the bright side, I've got the opportunity to debut my lovely new windbreaker.

(It's a cagoule).

Yes I suppose I can look forward to wearing my new big coat without getting hot.

And if I do get hot it does THIS

I said fuck about four times and called myself A conscientious objector. I know they’re scared of telling me anything because I tend to kick off and I’m straight to the union the second I hear anything I don’t like.
There should be more of this in general! :emoji_fist:

Its the first 'proper' fishtail I've ever had though, weirdly enough its a Barbor jacket, but some colab or other, so I can go grouse hunting and do coke at the same time.

I keep being told by people that they don’t involve themselves with the union because ‘nothing ever gets done’. Well, it fucking won’t if nobody’s getting involved, will it?
This is an argument I have with people so often, especially people in the private sector. Unions are better the more people are in them, so just bloody join one!

The only reason I’m not in the union is because of the links between our recognised union and the Labour Party.

Summer being over is KILLING ME. I've just ordered a DryRobe to see me through the winter swimming season though :disco:

Unite certainly feel intrinsically linked?

Also, curious about your beef there?

I’m Scottish, innit. :scotland: And would see myself more as a Green / SNP voter than a Labour supporter.

I hear that all the time as a union steward. Nothing will get done if we don’t have the numbers on our side. The more members you have, the more clout you have collectively.

Also if you’re not happy with your stewards, YOU should become one and get things done. No point whining if you’re doing fuck all about it.
Plus if you become a steward in a sufficiently active union, you might be able to wangle it into replacing your actual job and get paid for complaining at management all day fighting bravely for the rights of the downtrodden worker.

As I was leaving my flat this morning I looked up at my bedroom windows and THOUGHT I need to clean them, but they’re too high, I’ll get a window cleaner in.

Cue to me now at work getting emails advertising window cleaners.:kim:
