Day four of quarantine, that bastard black line remains the same and judging by the fact I woke at 5 and have spent nearly 3 hours in bed looking at dumpster diving videos on instagram, I am ABOUT TO LOSE MY MIND.

MORNING MOOPY!

Morning.

I still remember my 11 days of quarantine last year but at least it was in summer so I could sit outside (coughing my guts up).

Just went to get new passports - one month left and then it's time to fly to Asia.

I had 9 days of quarantine when I had it but I also had 2 weeks completely housebound after my peenus deletus operation so I was able to draw on that

Yeah, but the difference being with the latter is that I BET the drugs were good! I didn't mind at all being stuck in post- stomach op when the SOLUBLE CODEINE was a FLOWIN' :disco:

I had shag all but paracetamol by that time. The good drugs were gone within a day or two, let alone when I was back home. But then, I'm a very home-comforts person. Gimmie a few books, my own bed and a pile of CDs/LPs and I'm good.

Wait, that's not true, I had some codeine! But I kept it for when I was having electrolysis! :D

I'm not a great homebody, but particularly not when Mr Sheena is working at home all the time. I need SPACE. Not easy in a flat.

Though he has been wonderful, to be fair. Running around after me all week, the little love. Minute he gets it, I'll be STRAIGHT OFF OUT :D

Oh CODEINE. The DREAM.

As I always say, no better night in than CHAMPAGNE, ZAPAIN and COCAINE :disco:

I was also awake at some stupid fuck time, having had a STRESS DREAM about a never ending wardrobe I was trying to empty.

I think we've had some mild lurgy, I've felt like I'm on a comedown all week despite not doing anything stronger red wine and half an edible at the weekend. Good job I've got 5 days of work in Barcelona coming up this afternoon. 🙃

(I'm sure I'll be fine after a couple of airport pints but until then I'm moaning)

Morning. I’m on annual leave tomorrow through to Tuesday and I really fucking need it.

I just need some time to myself, although I do need to be productive with it otherwise I’ll just be wondering what’s happening in work which makes me a SADDO.

It doesn’t NEED to be productive. Sometimes doing fuck all is good for you.

Mr Sheena always says if I won the lottery, I’d need something work wise to fill my time. Like fuck I would, I can happily fill my time doing VERY LITTLE and especially if I had all the money in the world to do it.

I'm a firm believer that sometimes what you need to do is JUST BE.

I love a day with nothing planned, where you can just freely potter around and do fuck all in any real palpably constructive sense. And when I do it, it's because on some level that's what I need.

I mean I'm a lazy bastard and prone to melancholy as well, so there is a point where it can become horribly indulgent, so I do have to watch that as well. But for the most part I think I manage it.

Days off on my own with no plans are my absolute favourite. I need one a week. If I go for a couple of weeks without one, always surrounded by people, I really struggle, especially as I have to talk to people and fake smile all day at work.

I'm on day two of doing nothing today tho, and I can already feel I may get bored and fed up. So really, 1 day is enough.

I've just joined the city's Residents Panel so the council can pointlessly ignore me and other members of the rabble on matters related to future plans for the area.

I'm hitting mid 40s, so I figured they need some youth.

In worse news the workmen need to dig up our front "garden". It's not a garden, more just a raised bit with a small brick wall, paving slabs and an iron fence.

I managed to put them off a day and they were very nice about it.

So that's terrible.

I’m desperate for a day off to myself. I planned to have one on Monday before Covid struck and it’s been early January and before my holiday since I’ve managed one.

I'm gasping FOR WORK

I lost yesterday because Mr Ag was unfortunate and nothing today.

Find yourself a hot one. Takes all the pain away :disco:
He’s not a total minger

You are right, sometimes what we really need is literal time OUT. Maybe I do need to just sit with my thoughts and watch lots of housewives

Do it! I cannot recommend it enough. Although for me it's Home & Away :disco:

Retiring at 50 has been FABULOUS and I have zero guilt about spending days watching box sets in my pyjamas and planning trips away whenever I want. I do still have a teenager in my care but since moving to Ireland I have a million family to keep an eye on him if I fancy FUCKING OFF.

He is an adult now.

Now we don't have the dog there's a Portapuzzle permanently on my living room floor with a jigsaw-in-progress. I can easily lose hours doing them.

Rita I thought you were about 28…

Moving to Ireland one day is a genuine dream of mine, it looks so zen and slow paced.

I want to retire at 50, I'm so envious! Do you have a private pension or just other money to live off?

Oh bless you.

I’m from Ireland originally so it was always the plan to move home and make that my base eventually. Still have the house in Scotland and my daughter is still based here so I try to come back as often as I can.

Do you enjoy living in Ireland? What do you find to be the main differences from UK?

I made a lot of property investments after my divorce so sold them off, bought land back home in Ireland and built a house there. So I have enough to be comfortable for the foreseeable and still have the house in Scotland which I will probably sell when the well dries up.

Yes I love it as I am close to my mum and all my siblings, plus a lot of my old friends are still based there. Where I am based it is a very slow pace of life. I am around 2km from Glenties which is a quaint town in Donegal with a population of around 1000. I am totally past living in big cities although I loved that when I was younger. I still love visiting big cities for the shops mainly, but I love the quiet life these days.

Amazing!! I'm sad I never got into property.

Rachey, love, you just don't want to work FULL STOP :D

I mean, it's NOT A BAD THING, but I can hardly see you as a PROPERTY MOGUL :disco:
