They split in 83 or 84 and have reformed a couple of times but they leave it a good distance rather than just dragging themselves out every few years.

I believe so. Don't think the current home is permanent, though.

I'm surprised the local gammon haven't protested more at the exhibition, to be honest. It's very pro-removal of the statue, as much as it is asking for opinions regarding 'what next?'

But it's a great exhibition which would pretty much silence anyone trying to argue anything else. Never mind the fact that the swivel eyed loons are hardly likely to visit a museum and be faced with cold hard facts, anyway.

Not going to lie, feeling like a proud Bristolian right now.
