the drain in the bathroom is leaking  the construction underneath better not be rotten

In what can only be an act of wilful self-distraction, one of my colleagues is stressing about her new headband - it's one of those superwide ones that now in fashion. I've told her she looks like a character from a children's book and now she's in the huff.

Boss's daughter has graduated from casually mentioning that I should be working from home now on Monday to asking when I'm going to start working from home today (three times). So I've said I'll come in tomorrow and probably Friday as usual and speak to her mum on Friday when she's back from holiday.

The rest of the office are now convincing themselves that they should be working from home too. Their incessant clucking and whataboutery is driving me potty so I've closed my office door and am ignoring them all.

You’re quite rural, aren’t you? Are things where you live carrying on as normal or has the panic set in there as well?

Sorry, I just saw this now. I live around 2 miles from the town, and things there are still ticking along. A couple of restaurants have closed their doors, but a lot of fast food places are likely follow with the announcement of the schools closing on Friday. As far as I know pubs and other local businesses are still open for business. The supermarket here is the Co-op and like most places they are running out of toilet roll and most tinned goods.

Well no NAPPIES in stock for little Baby Dannii...

Do you have some put by? If not, I am sure some of us can have a browse locally and send some to you if you can’t get your hands on any.

If they can do it then they should and probably so should you.

I'm definitely going to. It isn't as bad as it sounds, we rarely get clients in and when they do come in they're usually seeing somebody else and I'm in a room on my own so I'm just as safe as I would be at home. The clients who've been in to see me have kept a safe distance away.

Thank you. I have enough for a couple of weeks thankfully. She might have to potty train early :D

Thank GOD. I remember too well what it was like for nappies and milk and that was not in this place we have found ourselves in now.
