Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday come on, come on

Good morning! I just couldn't get out of bed today so will probably be late, but it's quite a nice morning at least 🌞

Had 4 dirty martinis last night help.

Im Not Okay Season 9 GIF

Another training course. I'm all trained out.

At some point in my late 40s I hit the point of not being able to absorb new information unless my brain lets go of something else.

Hi Moopy. I'm having coffee in bed on holiday looking at the beautiful views, and a big fat magpie has decided to come and sit outside, directly opposite me. So now I think I'm going to have bad luck :(

Naturally I saluted it and said "Good morning Mr Magpie" to try and get rid of the bad luck.

Too late for that, love, you already live on the Isle of Wight.

Went to Tattu last night, not the sort of place I'd usually pick but the food was amazing. I'm now officially a shit vegetarian :D

The cocktails were also amazing and, despite having multiple drinks I feel fresh as a daisy. Must be all that BEEF.

Oh no, I just drifted off and had a horrible dream about teeth falling out. I blame you all in the map thread.

I feel that way but every now and then of something spectacular is far better than what I used to do, so I'll take it.

This is it. Meat is a treat will be my lifestyle moving forward.

*orders large doner*

To be fair, a chicken doner is probably the thing I miss most on a regular basis actually...

I'm trying to persuade Mandy to drive 4 hours to Manchester tonight to see the Backstreet boys. She's having none of it 😭

Could not get my arse up this morning. Apparently there was some massive drama in the office yesterday and one of my favourite people quit on the spot. :(

King Charles' car just drove past me, complete with significant police escort.

He wasn't in it. Unless he was in the boot.

Someone tried to egg him apparently. York to get bonus points in MOOPYCITYRATE

Trying to spot the egg-launcher in the photo, its a good effort

It's got to be the ginge trying to look the other way but having his hand suspiciously up high, no?

I wish I;d taken the whole week off work, I absolutely cannot be bothered with the place right now. But it's like a smell in the room - the longer you leave it to go back in, the worse it is.

Nevertheless, I am having a Nurse With Wound afternoon. Anyone for a boogie to "I'm A Frayed Knot"?

Finally got my anniversary lunch. Poor Mr F was in so much pain that I felt guilty at how slowly I eat so I shovelled as much down as I could as quickly as I could, left the rest, and got myself a takeaway Cakeaway for later. Those slices have considerably reduced in size since last time I had one, the price hasn't though :(

I grew up with this superstition too (among a hundred other ones my mom planted in my head) and it's frustrating to be aware of how many things can be bad luck. It also makes me feel like a medieval witch in comparison to the bf who hasn't been brought up to believe or know any of it.

Mandys not superstitious like me but she now salutes magpies. I also wont walk under ladders and if I break a mirror I get very upset!

My mother was (well still is, but I don't have to live under the same roof as it any more) a nightmare of superstitions.

The three which still trigger me

Putting an umbrella up indoors

Crossed knives (for example cutlery where one knife is placed across another - and she'd insist that everyone in the house had to witness it before they could be uncrossed)

Putting new shoes on a table
