We're on our way home from London
I had a shower a day in London and omg I was filthy. I don't recall being that dirty in most cities. Is London extra dirty![]()

The shower tray each morning I got out was grey, it was so grim
Also, some of the tubes are really grotty compared to others. I think we did the district line (the red one), that was horrible. Jubilee was nice.
Ah yes it was central. Not at all pleasant, seemed very old and covered in graffiti. The red one is the central line (very deep and noisy in the centre) goes overground from Stratford out north east to Essex and past the West End too. District is green, slightly more pleasant, very slow going!
Taking care of things like gym and travel probably go down best in my experience.
That, train fare or whatever, but doesn't sound applicable.
Been a while since I looked, but the packaged ones are all wank. 5% off one nandos a year? THANKS BOSS!
Hot drinks aren't taxable benefits at work and you can also do a Chrimbo party worth up to £150 per head providing all employees are invited (even if some choose not to go). They don't care about me with my 5 team members either. Once you start giving away a meal/ a coffee etc., it's definitely all taxable too, which is shite. Again, quite like the idea of doing that otherwise.

My work gave us a free sub to the Calm app and I actually really enjoyed itOT: This might require a thread, but not sure where to put it...ANYWAY.
I want to create an employee wellbeing package for my team to launch in the NY. I want it to be not too gimmicky, but something to make people really feel valued for. I'm providing access to gym membership, a wellbeing app, volunteer days...any other ideas?
(I realise there's tax implications for certain things and also I don't have a huge amount of money, so I can't quite be Google and offer all manner of shite, and I also don't want to sign up to a corporate benefits provider type of affair).
What would YOU value?

Oh we get our birthday day off work!
I don’t actually want to do that at all, because you risk ballache if someone’s birthday is, also, say, their child’s and you can’t let them ever have it off cause you be other person is off.
For a small business, it can be a pain in the arse.
I don’t let anyone have anything off automatically as we are a 365- day a year business. They have to use annual leave to even book Christmas Day off, though I obviously give them the right amount to cover that (and more than statutory, I might add). It also future proofs anyone from a different ethnicity who might not be arsed wanting Christmas Day.
We also have a health insurance thing which work pay the basic level, then you can choose to top up if you wish.
And to look at the WORKFLOW of all thingsOh God the dreaded CONSULTANTS are coming in at work. TIME TO DUST OFF THAT RETIREMENT SCHEME
