Separate to the daily threads; would be nice to bring this back - and let everyone know what you are doing, even if its relatively NOTHING, and to converse about that.

I'll start:

Friday eve - meeting a good fairly new friend for some local drinks then the Traitors and Graham Norton after that, if not, Gogglebox and Youtube :disco:
Saturday - usual housework, then into London to meet my Dad who is over from Oz - we will prob pick a nice East London backstreet chinese
Sunday - 5K Run or 10K mix of run and walk, nice meal somewhere, chill and some journal/gratitude whilst prepping for some probably major interviews etc.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?!

To expand, I'm 12 days into sobriety, fairly skint (eat shit Jan) and the weather is abysmal.

Although, I might pop into town. We do have a restaurant voucher.

even if its relatively NOTHING

It's not even relative, it is NOTHING

I haven't had a drink since New Year's Day so I might have a GLASS OF SOMETHING OR TWO. THAT'S ALL THAT'S COMING UP FOR ME

Sounds like a tad more than Fuck All to me!

Out for dinner tonight, but no booze as am guesting on an athletics podcast in the morning and need to be sharp.

No plans for the rest of the weekend. I’m on call for work, so can’t do too much thrilling, sadly.

Remind of the Athletics podcast please, I'll give a listen. Is it with brothers or have I dreamt that?

I fancy going somewhere for the day tomorrow. Just for a wander somewhere different. We'll probably decide depending on the weather tomorrow and how long a train journey we feel we can face.

Hmmm

Possibly STROUD

The last time we went, we went to an Italian restaurant where Mr L asked for Eros Ramazzotti and the semi hot waiter obliged.

Tonight - Nothing
Tomorrow - Going out for food, then comedy club, then probably a few bars in town after
Sunday - Football

The Backstraight Boys, and yes, it’s that one.

(They’re twins)

I love your husband.

(Mainly cause he makes the rest of us seem sane)

I love days like this and that was the plan for tomorrow originally, but this podcast is in the way now. Maybe Sunday.

Tonight - mum and dad are here and we have lasagne
Tomorrow - parkrun in the morning, nuffin in the afternoon, then the lickle one is being dropped off to my parents while we head out and meet some lovely friends for dinner and "where the wind takes us"
Sunday - the lickle one is going to the 02 with my parents allowing us to have a probably-needed lie in, and I'm getting a Tesco's shop delivered. It will be a good idea to have a KIDS STUFF sort out while kid is out of the house but I very much doubt I'll have the energy. I'm writing it off ALREADY

Is he doing Monster trucks? :o I was just chatting to a friend going on Sunday!

I have nothing much planned.
Swimming and homework tomorrow
No plans for Sunday, but I struggle to just be in the house all the time so will pop out for a mooch somewhere I'm sure.

Tonight - poker night at my friends house
Saturday - nothing during the day. A friends birthday dinner and going out dancing after
Sunday - work all day

I did my podcast (which was fun), then for a walk along the beach. Thoroughly depressed as I walked home and it was almost dark...realising nights in in the dark are just NOT what I need right now.

I ended up doing nothing during the day and then went to mate's house, played Boggle on TV with her and my grandson, ordered a Maccies and watched Traitors. Still not had a drink since 2025. Two weeks tomorrow.

Have you been since they've done up the indoor market with all the little bit food stands ? We went there when was down at Christmas. I swear Stroud was a DUMP twenty five years ago

Yes, it's fantastic isn't it? I'm amazed a place like Stroud can sustain it tbh. But then I imagine a lot of money coming in thanks to its proximity to the Cotswolds. Plus it seems to have become the new Frome in terms of featuring in those 'best places to live' articles.

Yes, I've heard quite a few SLOANY accents the past few visits which we never used to get
