What’s the most SURPRISING thing you have seen in the street?

Oh I’ve got loads of these. Once we came across a bag of clothes being donated to charity and it had been opened. It caught my eye and I picked up the first thing hanging out and it was this amazing machine knit patterned jump covered in frogs. We still have it and Ms Ron wears it at festivals and someone always says how amazing it is.

Once I was cycling in the heavy rain and a whole roads full of frogs were on the move from a pond I guess, hoping over a suburban street, and car came and squished loads of them and I actually heaved. The sound was harrowing as was the sight of hundreds of frogs exploding.

Where exactly is one supposed to sit whilst one’s wash is in? Also I can’t see any sign of the usual self-absorbed Mother Doom And Gloom who normally presides over these matters whilst sharing yet another tale with a TERRIBLY TRAGIC FINALE
She speaks as she finds!

I am always SURPRISED by people buying cups of HOT SWEETCORN on Market Street, Manchester

It is magic, don't break my heart :(

To be fair I just love sweetcorn. Back in the day when I didn't have to worry about cooking food for others, I could just eat a tin of sweetcorn for dinner and be happy.

I did once see someone getting fucked on LONDON BRIDGE. I thought, well, that's a bit fresh. Not even the dignity of a bush. Maybe he wanted a river view :disco:

The wobble of the MILLENNIUM BRIDGE would have added an extra FRISSON

A lone chair with a stick through it. It felt like a clue from a Silent Hill game.

Market Street really is SOMETHING ELSE. It’s like stepping into another dimension.

A sofa. I think I've still got the photo, I'll look for it later...

Oh, also, a human man taking a dump. Not even in the bushes or owt, just dropped 'em in the middle of the pavement and started to curl one out. He was interrupted by beeping car horns just at the turtle's head stage. No idea how it panned out, I turned a corner and naffed off.

It's not unusual to see a dustbin full of MEAT PARTS just sat on the street around MY WAY. I think it's a Turkish butcher thing. Bizarrely they never seem to use a binbag, the flesh is just chucked into the dustbin RAW.

As a longterm vegetarian I find it all rather unappetising.

CHRIST :D

I once saw a flasher wearing a stereotypical beige mac, expose himself in one of the busiest streets in town.

I always thought they were an urban myth until that point.

Once in my teens I was returning home and my street was blocked by the police who wouldn't let me pass and said there's a bomb threat at the bank in the corner and I should move back. So I did as they said and then the bomb went off or maybe they did the controlled sort of explosion. Not sure if it counts cause I didn't actually see it since they sent me further back but the boom was very loud and all the car alarms went off, some windows smashed. It was exciting.

I unexpectedly came across this REVOLUTIONARY service in CHEDDAR

I’m weirdly horrified by this - I don’t know how much laundrettes usually are but that seems like a lot.

And the arrogance of saying it’s a revolution to remove all traces of comfort or rain shelter or places to pack up your washing

We have them here too, they seem to be a feature at petrol stations for some reason :o
