What are you reading? (2025)

We've been going since July 2021, and haven't missed a month. The conversations are always great and it's been a brilliant social outlet, but it has made me confront my bias against cosy YA fantasy.
 
Finally finished Elena Ferrente’s Neapolitan Novels series.

At the other end of the gay literary life experience I am reading THE KINGDOM OF SAND by ANDREW HOLLERAN which is fucking depressing :)
 
Yes. It was reassuringly exactly what I hoped it would be.
Just finished it. Was a great listen but I think she let James Dreyfus off quite lightly….. going to watch the four part series of her childhood ‘Walking and Talking’ now.

And time to dig out the Parker Posey autobiography audiobook once more!
 
I just finished A Long Winter by Colm Tóibín. It is very heartbreaking but one of the most beautiful things I've ever read.
