Yes, I thought Why Didn't They Ask Evans was pretty weak and quite the disappointment.
 
Caught an episode of 'Scared of the Dark' last night - won't be watching it again, I would prefer it with the lights on I think - Bring back CBB!
 
I've watched the first two episodes of Scared of the Dark. I'll stick with it for the remaining three this week but don't think the format has legs for another run. Also I feel we have seen plenty of Chris Eubank being strange and annoying on reality shows so nothing new there.

I actually found mysel watching last night and getting a bit drawn in :D I quite liked the challenge where they thought they were up high, and also Eubank is just a nightmare

Chris Eubank is such a nightmare. It doesn’t make good tv, just awkward tv (I’m still watching of course)
 
I did like the 'height' challenge too, their reactions when they found out the reality was amusing.
 
I have to say I quite enjoy this Late Night Joe Lycett show if I am in on a friday night, I didn't think I would but I find myself giggling away

I'm watching it for the first time tonight, I am definitely entertained. It feels exactly what Channel 4 should have on a Friday night at this time.
 
Anyone watching The Big Interiors Battle?

AJ Odudu hosting. 8 designers get their own apartment to do up, each week all doing the same room

1 booted out each week (with an unfinished apartment)

The prize at the end is that they win the apartment they’ve designed

It’s good. AJ brilliant as always.
 
Finished Blue Lights and Beef. Both excellent, and in both cases it was the penultimate episode when things really kicked off.

A couple of episodes into the third season of Ted Lasso. The characters are still wonderful but I wish they would row back on the extended episode lengths, they are really not needed.
 
Just finishing off Firefly Lane. So heartbreaking. But it’s just SO well cast with the two girls playing their teenage versions.

I have never caught Blue Lights yet. I have recorded the season and will be sure to watch this week.
 
Been off work sick the last 2 days. Today I was actually able to concentrate on something more than Homes Under The Hammer, so I binge watched Dr. Death on the Lionsgate streaming service - I think my flatmate has a £1.99 subscription deal.

It was really rather good and Joshua Jackson was brilliantly convincing as a sociopathic murderer :o
 
Did anyone watch Channel 5 drama (shudder) The Catch with Aneurin Bevan earlier this year? Mr L has decided we're watching it later and I need to know if it's one of their better efforts before I commit to it.

I gave up after one episode. I wasn't intrigued and it felt cheap.

I watched it all, but it was very much a case of while I was doing other things.

I'm not the sharpest when it comes to guessing endings, but it really felt like certain plot points may as well have had a klaxon sound and it was all very obvious.

It seems to me there are two types of Channel 5 drama: ones you wish had been made by BBC/ITV/Netflix, and ones which should never have been made at all.
 
Anyone catch the Michelle Keegan drama on BBC1 about the migration to Oz after the war? Is it worth a watch?

I watched the first episode. It was fine, I think I will give it another episode. Michelle's storyline feels secondary, it is mainly about Warren Brown's family I think.
 
Has anyone started watching ITV's new three parter Maryland with Queen Suranne and Eve Best?

I quite enjoyed the first episode but I am really not clear what Stockard Channing is up to. Every time she appears it is like she has popped up in the wrong programme.

I have it recorded so will probably watch all three episodes in the next week or so. I did see Queen Stockard was in this, random but good to see her on UK TV. :disco: I've seen Suranne say she 'manifested' Stockard being part of this and was shocked when she said yes to the part.
 
Putting this here even though I don't think i've seen a full episode, but the cast of MIDSOMER MURDERS are on This Morning today celebrating the 50th episode coming up on Sunday night, gather it will get good ratings, but I am surprised there has only been 50 episodes. I know they are about 2 hours long each but I thought there must have been at least 300 of the things!
