What Are You Watching? 2025 (1 Viewer)

Just finished that Jack Whitehall and David Duchovny Thriller on Amazon called Malice.

Deeply disappointing. 6 episodes and it doesn’t really get going until the 3rd episode. Then at the end it doesn’t have any real pay-off and leaves a lot of plot holes.
Did you expect a Jack Whitehall vehicle to be GOOD?

All Her Fault had a strong first episode but my God did it descend into soapy, appallingly written nonsense by the end!

It was actually quite jarring watching Sarah Snook attempting to sell such palpable rubbish after seeing her on Succession.

Loved the opening episode but it did not need to be 8 episodes long, so many pointless side stories I couldn’t give a fuck about

The final few episodes an absolute slog too and it was so dumb. I am a completist so had to finish it but it was almost as bad as that Keira Knightly Netflix film

Sophia Lillis was superb though

Damn, episodes 3-5 are not there. Honestly, I enjoyed that, but it's a ridiculous show that has both flashes and flushings of brilliance and absolute shit. Best viewed in a binge I'd say.

ITVX have added all the episodes of HOTEL BABYLON for those that like a bit of old ITV entertaining trash. With DAME TAMZIN O.

I've decided to watch an episode of Popstars The Rivals on YouTube. It's final 7 Girls week.

I think that is the one before - I do remember her saying 'I call a spade a spade' a lot.

This is the one with fabulously evil Amanda and Nicki and the toffs. I think it's when I stopped watching back in the day.
I am on the Hilary series and can confirm that the exact quote is:

"There's a reason people call us the smiling assassins love. Anyone will tell ya, I call a spade a shovel".

Sometimes Russell Tovey is really great on screen. However, his scene with Salt halfway through episode 5 is excruciating.

Just watched Tea With Judi Dench on Sky Arts last night. Beautiful comfort viewing.

OK I'm on episode 4 of Amandaland and its making me COL (chuckle out loud) :D :disco:

BBC documentary series Once Upon a Time in Space. Excellent, especially after the first episode when they get to the Space station stuff.

I really enjoyed Boots too. Obviously the cancellation is a bit suss and it must have been disappointing for the cast and crew but in terms of the story I'm quite happy where they left it.

Watched the first couple of The Hunting Wives on ITV. Very much a sexed up Good Christian Bitches/Belles for the current rich people murder mystery genre. Also features the excellent Goldie Boutilier on the theme tune.

is HUNTING Wives on ITVX worth a watch anyone?

I think i'm going to watch Motherland from Series 3 after the successful viewing of Amandaland which I adored.
