What Are You Watching? 2025 (1 Viewer)

Guys I need a new thriller type drama please along the lines of The Guest, or In Flight recently. Preferably on iplayer, C4, or ITVX, or I'm sure I could find other stuff on platforms on the Firestick. Any recommendations welcomed.

I've started Cold Water. More Eve Myles. Its quite good so far, quite eerie.

The Hack starts tonight about the NOTW scandal. I think ITV are hoping they will get another Mr Bates Vs The Post Office out of it but the trailer looks quite BORING.

Anyone watching THE RUMOUR on Channel 5? I’m two episodes in and it’s quite TWISTY and good.

I'm two eps in to series three of The Newsreader. I still love it.

Wow at episode five.

The eighties wedding from hell. An unravelling Dale. Lindsay being more vile than ever. A wedding singer killing Debbie Gibson and Belinda :D

I'm quite sad there is only one more episode.

I fully intended to watch it as I've wanted Andrew Lincoln to sit on my face since I first clapped eyes on him in This Life.

But I heard a cat gets killed in it so have decided to give it a wide berth.

Lincoln seems to have reverted to clothes falling off form but yes, poor Harlequin :(

I've watched the finale of The Newsreader. It was A LOT. Depressed, dishevelled Dale was quite something though.

I'm not sure about House of Guinness on Netflix based on the first episode, but will persist. Lots of exposition and scene setting so far. It was between that and the Toni Colette/Mae Martin one.

I've just put on Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue. Some hot hokey disaster/murder mystery shit with Will from Will & Grace plus lots of actors from this side of the pond doing American accents with varying degrees of success (hello Siobhan McSweeny, southern MAGA Mrs).

Watched a couple more and I've decided I quite like House of Guinness now. Of course there is a tragic homosexual :disco:

Racing through RIDLEY at the moment, find it quite comforting.

Binged the new season of Project Runway on Disney+, glad Heidi is back, the show just wasn't the same without her. I really enjoyed Veejay's use of psychological warfare to break the twins, what a delight! :disco:
She's one of the best reality TV contestants ever IMO.

This was OK until the last two episodes when it got VERY ROPEY VERY QUICKLY

I binged Mexican Morgue and yes the final two episodes are absolutely ridiculous.

Just started The Girlfriend. I had no idea it was set in London. Its watchable in a trashy thriller novel kinda way.

Started Ed Gein : Monster on Netflix and also Furia which promises to be akin to ‘Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown’, so I’m excited for that one.

Is this Ryan Murphy & if so I'm presuming he's made Ed sexy with a HOT BOD
Exhibit A

Not to mention wanking in his mother’s lingerie whilst auto-erotic asphyxiating with a noose. Within the first few minutes.

Watched it over the last few days. Loved it.

Missed Tim Gunn, though.

If you want more Veejay in your life she’s also in Dress My Tour - also on Disney

Bit late with this one but thought The Four Seasons was fantastic! So lovely but also really quite funny at times.

Nice punchy 30 min episodes too. Didn’t hang about.

The first episode of Aimee Lou Wood's Film Club was quite charming. Queen Suranne in highly strung on the edge mum mode might steal the show.

Also features Owen Cooper from Adolescence as a shit on a bike.

Just may have to suspend my Channel 5 drama ban for this

Finished The Newsreader 💔

S3 wasn't quite up to the standards of the first two (I missed the news-story-of-the-week approach, and didn't think all of its swings into melodrama were completely plausible) but I still loved it. And I loved how it ended. Easily one of my favourite series of the past few years.
