Thanks to being sick I've finally finished The Vampire Lestat (and the rest of the AMC Rice universe). Loved it overall, but the writers must have been on drugs when they pick'n'mix-ed bits (and bobs) from the novel and Rice's other books. The appearance of Merrick was a nice Easter egg for the fans. I don't remember Armand being such a psychopath though. And Jennifer Ehle really brought the camp. Looking forward to The Queen of the Damned, my favourite book in the series. This Akasha is going to be amazing (no shade to Aaliyah, she was the best thing about that movie).
Also caught up with Season 2 of the Mayfair Witches. It's not exactly good, but I was entertained.
The Talamasca series was weird, there were glimpses of something good with the lore etc. but it felt quite lifeless and small in scale. No wonder it got cancelled.
