Basic bitch question. As winter turns into spring I just wondered WHAT'S YOUR FAVE?

And WHY?

Summer - I love the heat and the long days
Spring - sunny, feels refreshing, my birthday
Fall - it’s ok but sometimes it gets cold
Winter - hate it

basically I hate the cold

Fall is magnificent. I love the mild temperatures. And the colors/scenery are the best of all seasons.

If I had to choose one it'd be Spring; three months of consistently getting warmer and brighter = more happy and more optimistic.

06 Spring - Too wet and too many flus.
08 Summer - Fun but often uncomfortable.
10 Fall - Just right.
08 Winter - Pretty but impractical.

I like them ALL in their own way.

Spring - The Earth is awake again, and everything is growing and the days are getting longer.
Summer - BBQ’s/Garden Parties/ Bikinis/Holidays/men with less clothes
Autumn- I love the Autumn Colours/Halloween/Bonfire Night/More Layers
Winter - CHRISTMAS/ New Year/ Snow/ Postcard pictures/ Big Chunky jumpers

I love summer, and I quite like spring.

Autumn is fine when it's not RAINY and the streets aren't carpeted with LEAF SLUSH.

Winter makes me want to DIE. Especially THIS ONE. Thank fuck it's nearly over.

I absolutely ADORE snow, so that and Christmas/ New Year are enough to make me enjoy Winter.

I love the imagery of autumn. It has to be sunny, cold and crisp though.

I think I'd put summer third. Obviously all the best things happen during Summer and I do love the sun and warm weather, but bugs and humidity are horrible.

Obvs Christmas is an annual highlight, but I see it more as a finale to autumn with all the trimmings and a nice treat before the HORRORS of winter.

I think I'd be happy with a cycle of spring-summer-fall-spring-summer-fall if it meant no winter

Do we even have seasons any more? It just seems like we have a cold wet season and a warmer wet season with a few weeks of hot weather sometime between March and July during which time some idiot will set the moors on fire.

Winter would be my favourite season if we had snow and I didn't have to go to work or drive anywhere. I love having the heating on, seeing my breath outside and the best part of winter ... radiator pyjamas. Weirdly I also love scraping ice off the car in the morning in winter, it can be quite invigorating. Same for shovelling snow.

I don't like spring because I know I should start doing stuff in the garden and I hate gardening.
I don't like summer because it's too warm and too many pasty, flabby men think it's OK to walk around with their saggy tits and beer bellies on display.
I don't like autumn because the leaves fall off the trees and cover my garden meaning I need to rake them up and they block up the gutters.

Quite a regional interpretation of the question.

Obviously gross bodies are a minus of summer, but hot bodies are a plus.

1. Summer: wearing short shorts and being gay
2. Spring: some sort of hope that the sun’s coming back
3. Autumn: can be nice but can also be very quick to stab you in the back
4. Winter: January? FEBRUARY?

But really, they all have their advantages and disadvantages.
  • Spring gives you the ooh-ah-ah sensation of "Thank fuck winter is over, the days are getting longer and there is sunlight". The downside is when it rains.
  • Summer is that girl in that she is giving you long evenings, sunshine, and holidays. But mosquitoes, sunburn and heatwaves that don't allow you to sleep are a skip.
  • Autumn is a nice relief after a hot summer. The days are still long enough, and there's just enough life. But it's depressing as you see the arrival of winter.
  • Winter is cute for a couple of weeks, but then you realise she was just a fling and not a keeper because she's got depression and makes you want to kill yourself, and you can't wait to get shot of her by the third month.

On balance, I choose spring.

1. Summer
2. Spring
3. Autumn
4. Winter when it snows or is the Christmas holidays

9999999999999999999999. The rest of winter

I think since moving to London, Spring is the clear standout. Everyone is happy that winter is finally over and summer is ahead, its warm but not too hot and there is a shitton of bank holidays alongside my birthday in March.

I have come to love them all, and I like them both in their extreme and mild versions.

What I hate is those cold overcast days that could be any season (and sometimes several seasons in one day) that northern and West Europe has an abundance of.

Still I think, and that is despite hating sweat, humidity and especially all sorts of bugs, that there’s something magical about a heatwave with seemingly endless days, when time seems to stop and the whole world relaxes and takes a siesta.

I don't think I'm wrong in saying that this has been the longest most disgusting winter on record.
You have a short memory. The first three months of 2018 were unceasingly fucking horrible to live through. Freezing every single fucking day without even a hint of a break and warmth right the way up till mid April (!!!). The only time in my life extended cold weather has worn down my skin so much that one day I just didn't have any oil barrier left on my hands and squirting on some alcohol gel flared my hands instantly (like dropping a flame in hot oil) as if I'd just dipped them in a pure allergic reaction

One word: lockdown.
