What did you collect as a kid?

Had loads of wildlife too, newts, frogs , toads, mice, hamsters, gerbils, rats. The cellar was for my menagerie. Was so cold though that a hamster was lifeless curled up in a ball so we slung it in the dustbin. He'd just hibernated with the cold and was running round the bottom of the bin when mum next went to throw rubbish. Had a gerbil that was evil, bit me every time I tried to hold him so kindly donated him to the local school where my mum's friend taught. Not my school. He was returned after biting all the kids.

Had caterpillars in a fish tank in my attic bedroom but one day forgot to put lid on and they all crawled out. They were everywhere, even some were chrysalises dangling from the ceiling.

GARBAGE PAIL KIDS

I hope I wasn't the only one. They were the greatest thing ever. The feeling you'd get when you'd open the pack and found you had the missing pair :disco:

Did the football stickers for quite a few years. Gremlins cards. Topps and Panini did loads of shite in the 80s, we did them all. By the time Pokemon came out though I was older.

Also the little mini figures I loved. Muscle Men (not what you think) and Monster In My Pocket. The latter were clever, they made it so you didn't just collect the different figures, you had to have one in every colour otherwise your collection wasn't complete :D
Another GBK fan here.

Any favourites @funky @Joseph ?

I coveted my (female) friends Barbie sticker book. Especially the removable sticker clothes shop pages.

The 2009 edition of Disney ‘The Wonderful World Of Knowledge’ books 🤗 They were there weekly at the corner shop/newsagent I think. :)
