What do you like on your pizza? (1 Viewer)

I know there's also this tendency across the pond to dip Pizza crust into RANCH dressing. :zombie:

Ranch dressing is an American salad dressing usually made from buttermilk, salt, garlic, onion, mustard, herbs, and spices mixed into a sauce based on mayonnaise or another oil emulsion

YUM YUM :zombie:

I do find "emulsion" used in relation to food most revolting

Anything, but always home made, I usually make it simple: mozzarella, ham and mushrooms, with additional cheese if I have any (usually blue cheese).

I've been enjoying a lot of pizzas without cheese recently. Not because I don't like cheese on them, just that I ordered one by mistake a while ago and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

I just pop into the Co-op on the way back, buy a ball of mozzarella and eat it walking home instead :)

A very handy pennywise tip there from @lolly but be careful when prising it out of the pouch: you can end up drenched and looking like you've soiled your knickerbockers :(

Franco Manca is quite a large chain now, isn't it? Easily the nicest chain pizzas I've had. And a fair bit cheaper than Pizza Express, but then I suppose you're not subsidising SuRie's lavish lifestyle.

Now "operating around 60 pizzeria in the UK"! I bet they're not as nice as the buffet at Deep Pan Pizza though. Goodness that was LUXURIOUS!

36 posts in the pizza lounge ALONE

@RJN If you want that coveted POTW gong, my tips are OBSESSIVENESS, slightly hysterical INTERACTIVITY and an inability to NOT COMMENT. Also don’t ever be afraid of posting three posts immediately after each other :disco:
Pizza forum now

Also we need a 'PIZZA HUT - what do you think' thread a la Delice & PUMPKIN which are now legendary

They do have some gorgeous outlets in stunning, very desirable locations. Tottenham Hale is a favourite. I like to pop there for dinner and PUMPKIN for afters :disco:
My sister once took me to the Pizza Hut in Nottingham when she was doing her postgrad there as a 'treat' when I was visiting her as a poor Uni student :eyes:
Needless to say it was iconic and legendary in 2003 as I am sure it will be in 2023 if/when I go for a 20th anniversary visit with her :disco:

I went to a Deep Pan Pizza for my 18th birthday with a group of sixth form chums. And then we went to see Working Girl at the Odeon.

I don't think that was the time a very drunk youth outside walked up to the window, pressed his face the glass, opened his mouth and vomited, but I could be wrong.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a real deep dish chicago style pizza. I was going to when I went to Chicago but I forgot

And often for only ONE POUND!

Oh that SIGNATURE SAUCE :disco:

Bit late to the party but I’m high and talking about pizza is right what I need.

I would always have pepperoni jalapeño and pineapple (fucking come at me) but since I’ve stopped eating pork that ruined that fun. So I’ve gone down the route of proper wood fired traditional pizza now, which is a bonus because theyre everywhere. In tbat format I’ll have anything, had anchovies and capers the other day, holy fuck what a combo.

There is a place near me that does VEGAN Nduja and that is fucking sexy on a wood fired sourdough base £15 pretentious fucking prick with a negroni pizza

I've just had a pizza with the following toppings:

Buffalo Chicken
Caramelised Pineapple
Garlic & Rosemary Roast Potatoes
Jalapenos
Sriracha Caramel Pork Belly
Cherry tomatoes

And it was GREAT :disco:

Lidl had jars of capers wrapped in anchovies in their Italian range the other week. They're an UMAMI EXPLOSION :disco:

But you know what, there is a place down the road that does the best takeaway pizza. So there are tiers, the first is non chain generic takeaway, the sort of place that does kebabs too and shuts the latest of your weed or booze induced munchies. I’ve found the best one of them I’ve tasted since Gangsters, Leeds in 2001.
