What TV shows really stuck the landing?

We live in an age where it seems like 95% of TV shows, even the really good ones, have deeply unsatisfying endings, either due to premature cancellation or just bad writing.

Obviously this is a massive spoiler space, but what TV shows do you think wrapped up well?

I always think of Rome, which managed to navigate an early cancellation and crippling season 2 budget cuts to deliver a fabulous finale in which Polly Walker’s Atia of the Julii simultaneously serves absolute cunt and tastes the bitter ashes of defeat within 5 impeccably acted minutes of television.

Sitcom-wise, 30 Rock, Veep and Dinnerladies all ended definitively with banger final episodes. I wouldn't call Veep's finale satisfying but it was definitely CORRECT.

Obvious one, but Breaking Bad ended really satisfyingly.

Oh, and Bojack Horseman was a pretty terrific final season and ending too.

Twin Peaks season 2 actually ended well despite a dodgy season, but season 3 was a work of art and the ending was utterly CHILLING.

Dark also was a near perfect 3 seasons of television.

I enjoyed how they ended The Good Place a lot, especially because I couldn't see a way for them to manage it going into the final season

A bit of a mess in its final year

But the very last Brookside episode having a lynch mob HANG a character named after a Channel 4 executive was quite something

Hacks for sure. Last season maintained its quality and the send off was surprising, exhilarating, funny and poignant.

The Good Wife coming absolute full circle. The final season wasn’t as 10/10 brilliant as the others, but it nailed the ending.

Agreed on The Good Wife, too. Not the best final season but a great last episode.

The Night Of.

Absolutely sensational TV from start to the end, which was pretty devastating. Riz Ahmed doesn't get his flowers here, but his transformation from meek student to drug addict/pusher/pimp was extraordinary.

Say what you what, but SATC had a perfect ending with An American Girl in Paris: Part Une/Deux. So many iconic moments.
