When are you switching your heating on?

I put it on one night at the weekend 'just to test it', got told off by Mr L, and it hasn't been back on since.

London has been having the most amazing weather. It’s been getting chilly in the north west.

Does London not really get SEASONS anymore? I know they are weaning everywhere but it always either seems to be HOTTER THAN HELL or warm there these days.

Around these parts at least, I feel it's still been warm every day. I've needed sleeves to walk about during most days, but never really a coat or jacket. But it is getting a lot cooler in the evenings.

That said, just popped to Sainsbury's for my lunch (meal deal upgrade, thanks for asking), and it's the first time I've felt properly cold without a jacket.

It's programmed to come on when it hits a point of brrr. It's actually on right now I can hear it, although maybe because the double doors are wide open onto the yard. I'll wear 5 jumpers when I'm old. For now, I'm burning through those reserves.

Finally brought the electric radiator in the bedroom for an hour or so this morning. Possibly sticking the actual heating on for a night or two next week.

Our central heating got switched on today. I don’t particularly think it was needed.

The heating is on from 6.30 to 8:00 in the morning. For the rest of the day we're just layering up at the moment. Bed was super cold this morning, but I am quite unwell. Such a culture shock after quite intense sunshine on and off recently.
