Which Monday do you live on?

I forgot it was freshers week which means my gym will soon be overrun with annoying 18 year olds

We have a MANDATORY ELECTRIC INSPECTION this afternoon. It may take up to FOUR HOURS.

Bit concerned that there's one socket behind a huge set of shelfs, in a nook, that REALLY CAN'T BE MOVED.

Planned 2.5 hour meeting ended up being over in about a third of that for various reasons, so it being a glorious sunny morning I'm off for an extended toddle/early lunch myself.

I’ve got three weeks left at my current job and I just CANT BE ARSED :argh:

Carrot and coriander. I've always made in a pan before with a handheld blender but it's such a FAFF.
Oh a soup maker takes so much FAFF out of it. I haven't bought soup in since I got one. Veg wastage is way down.

Although now I'm looking to get an actual BLENDER.

Saturday lunches are inevitably LEFTOVER VEG SOUP over the cold months.

Don't mention it, they probably wont look for it.

Whats a faff about blending something for all of about 30 seconds?!

Oh God the electrics are a mess! One of the few minuses of living in a Victorian house.

I need to buy a new soup maker after mine broke. But I did find it frustrating because I could never get it to close properly. I assume I'd chopped the veg too big.

I've made a vegan fudge today, 90 small bags of fudge and 15 boxes. I'm tired of fudge.

I thought mine broke, but I'd just overheated it. I think I poured hot stock in, so it went over the temp limit. I often wondered if you'd done the same.

That was a good wander - was out for about 3 hours. Got fed up at the end and nabbed the underground home tho'.

Ended up in a part of Glasgow I'd not been through in 15-20 years, just off Govanhill, heading towards The Gorbals and then town. It's irrecognisable from the wasteground and derelict tenements I remembered being driven through at speed when I was a kid; totally rebuilt with nice new housing and a shopping outlet with a big Aldi and a big B&M.

I didn't sleep for more than an hour at a time last night for reasons unknown so I already had a tiredness headache when I got to work. On arrival I discovered we were having a new alarm installed and the workings for it are in my office. Every time Jay the alarm man started drilling or hammering I got up and went outside for a fag.

I fancy trying cauliflower and coconut soup one day.

I don't have a soup maker, so I'll pop out to the kitchen and blend it when my camera mysteriously loses connection.

Oh bugger. I used to put hot stock in it a few times. Maybe that was what happened.

One for the HINGED SOUP FANS: I keep getting MOB adverts on IG, not signing up but they do keep flashing a miso and white onion soup at me that sounds like a nice combo. White onions braised in stock and white miso with rice all blended up when cooked. I might give it a whirl at some point soon.
