To help me cope with the tragedy that was All Stars 4, I'm gonna vent via this thread.

Which queen was the least deserving to be eliminated?

I dislike Tyra, but I can never get past the fact that she deserved the win over Raven. But then not liking her much either probably doesn't help.

Shangela by that stupid, stupid rule change, yes. Manila a close second but at least that was someone just playing the game properly...

Not that I think Katya was robbed particularly (in that I think Alaska deserved it still, even though I loved her) but... where is she?! Naomi?

Or is this just the special KC cut?

I know it is the most recent, but I vote Manila, not least because none of her competitors were anywhere near her high standard.

Also Bendela but she robbed herself (superbly).
 
Yeah, I say Manila as well. It's clearly between her and Shangela, but at least Shangela made the final, if not the lipsync. Manila didn't even make the semi.

In terms of being robbed of a spot in the final four, I'd say it's between Manila and Alyssa.
 
I originally voted for Shangela, but I've just changed it to Monique, mainly because Shangela and Manila lost on the basis of the rules (however shady those rules were). Monique lost against two performers who had done less than her throughout the season for no other reason than preferential treatment.

What utter HORSESHIT. She had EXACTLY THE SAME record than Monet (2 wins, 1 "win", 2 bottoms, 1 of which was an "everyone else") and a WORSE record than Trinity (2 wins, 2 "wins", 1 bottom). So who exactly is giving preferential treatment through their rose-tinted fanboy glasses, then? :D

Your 'exactly the same record' argument disregards whether you believe they deserved the win (or had preferential treatment) in the first place, doesn't it?

I've not really thought about it in terms of Monet v Monique, but it's why I never ruled Naomi out.

I didn’t rule anyone out. I was just calling issue with Cwej’s assertion that the only reason Monique didn’t get to the final two was because of “preferential treatment” and he was using their “report card” as evidence.

It wasn’t. It was because the other two had a better week than her.
 
You're misunderstanding my point. I think week in week out, both Naomi and Monique were rated lower by Ru than they probably deserved to be - I mean Monique being counted as a 'bottom' in the week where she was clear 3rd place for starters (the stand-up comedy week). I didn't mention report cards at all - the report cards are created by Ru and I'm saying I didn't agree with her judgement throughout the season (which as far as I'm aware is ALLOWED...???)
 
At the risk of cwej being baffled at my not understanding, but do you mean judging on achievements within the show is bullshit?
 
I mean that it's such a binary way of understanding achievement within the show, and easily open to manipulation.

I find the judging to be biased and prone to supplementing the narratives they want. I hate the idea that a queen in the bottom is automatically assumed to have performed badly. It just doesn't feel like an accurate reflection of the competition for me - especially on the rare occasions the girls are performing at a high level across the board.
