Which streaming service(s) do you use?

Far too many.

I have spotify for moosic (#deleteoctophone)
I have Netflix to watch stuff on, I have amazon prime because I value the other stuff it has attached to it, and I have NowTV to watch game of thrones (but will promptly cancel after)
 
I love spotify, regardless of its shortcomings.

I think the last time I played a CD was at Christmas.
 
I have Netflix and use it often. Amazon Prime I have free through work and so every now and then see if there's a film on, but don't really bother.

I've got a login for NowTV from a friend which I never use.
 
Netflix - I keep all the time
Hayu - for my housewife needs
OUTtvGo - when Drag Race is on
Amazon Prime - I cancel it and then resub when I order something cause it’s cheaper than shipping
Crave - for HBO, it’s good but too expensive

I want to get CBS all access to watch survivor and the good fight but it’s just too much.

It’ll be interesting to see what Disney+ has to offer, cause the price they announced is cheap.
 
Netflix - Use all the time and share out between family

Amazon Prime - stream music and TV/Film. Their playlists aren’t too bad and while the music available is limited without premium, it’s perfectly fine

NowTV - flatmate subscribes to this but we frequently watch it

Just recently unsubscribed from Apple Music for the second time as I really don’t use it enough.

Hulu is now owned by Disney so when they launch their own platform, Hulu will be the place for the more adult stuff.
 
Spotify is my most treasured app. I literally couldn't live without it now.

I also have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Now TV. Out of the three I think I watch Netflix the most.
 
hbo go is the only one i use. and mostly cause i have it as part of my mobile data package. i haven't paid for any streaming service with money, i don't think.
 
I use Spotify ALL THE TIME.

We watch a fair amount of Netflix. We also have Amazon, but I may well cancel it, despite Amazon Prime being a nice feature.
 
Spotify mainly for on the go music.

Sky for telly, but I have only used the app on the tablet a few times. Netflix quite a bit, and if I wasn't inconvenienced by having to go to work I would use it a lot more.

I had Amazon first, but since getting Netflix I only watch a few ongoing series and the odd film on there. It is kept for the convenience of the delivery service but is probably only worthwhile some months.
 
Spotify obviously. For travelling, listening on headphones, or use in various places around the house it's essential and well worth the money. I can't imagine using the advert strewn free version. Actually, let's be real, it's useful everywhere, all the time, there's no need to play a CD, as sad as that is (although I have my own internal issues about this and streaming in general which I'm trying to make peace with). I have no issue with the sound quality and it's extremely rare it won't have what I'm after.

Netflix for viewing which is again well worth it on the whole.

Oh and SHUDDER, a horror movie service. Haven't used half as much as I'd like but that's purely because there isn't an app for it on my TV/PS4 yet and my laptop is a decrepit old beast these days so it takes forever to load. It's worth the price to me and they get a good amount of exclusives and less obvious films.

We subscribe to Virgin Media too for the internet and TV package which has some streaming services of sorts but I'm increasingly finding Virgin a SHOWER OF SHIT
 
I’m still yet to be turned to Spotify. I just don’t like the general interface. I had the free trial for a couple of months and hardly used it. I’ve recently been finding some songs on Bandcamp that weren’t legally available anywhere else.
 
Spotify really is brilliant value for money when you compare it to downloading an album.
 
I'm astonished that on a website that is predominantly music based, only 76% of people have either Spotify or Apple Music. What do the rest of you DO? It isn't the 90s any more you know...!

I buy downloads (FLAC or WAV files) from Bandcamp and occasionally Bleep or 7Digital, CDs and the occasional vinyl. Bandcamp is where I get most of my music now.

If I just want to hear something out of academic interest, I'm likely to try Youtube.

youtube for every day listenage.
slsk for the stuff i like and want for my collection.
google play if i really like it and want to support the artist.
vinyl if it's an album.
 
The spawn pays for our "family" Netflix but I pay for my mum's Netflix, music is only Apple Music because the spawn pays for that too, Mr F uses Spotify. I've got Amazon Prime which was mainly for Mr F to watch Walking Dead but he hasn't been on it for months now, I'd get rid but I like the free next day delivery. Our Virgin package has watch anywhere on it but I only use that upstairs on my iPad. We've got a Firestick with Kodi on so there are several film and TV streaming apps on there too.
 
Yes, I'd happily ditch Prime but for the delivery aspect.
 
It's something I'm determined to NEVER HAVE no matter how convenient just because I'm tired of them trying to RAM IT DOWN MY THROAT :ken:

I still buy from iTunes instead of streaming and elsewhere like Bandcamp if iTunes doesn’t have what I want. Still of the opinion that it’s better to own the files than rely on a subscription service.

Is it though? I think Moopy has evolved from its early post-Dotmusic inception to more of a social media type discussion forum. But that's another discussion...
 
I think with the exception of my old collection (which I resent more with each passing week), I'm just over the concept of owning music. And if I do want to own it, I'd want a physical item. Downloads to me are the worst of both worlds.

I mean I get the concept of the possibility of it being removed if you don't own it, but I think it's unlikely to happen, and that if it did I'd be able to get hold of it through file sharing or somesuch.

Several albums I bought on iTunes were removed years ago.

I'm still as big a collector as I ever have been - perhaps even more (and yes I know @Sheena will agree with me on this) but I recognise very much that I'm in the minority nowadays...
 
Also one thing I’ll say is that I rarely listen to much music at all these days as I’ve switched to podcasts when I’m out.

I’ll also admit my musical spectrum over the last decade has become very contained and I tend to just listen to the same stuff. I’d say at least the last four years, my music listening has been almost exclusively musical theatre albums and a lot of it was done on Apple Music. I worked out that I’d spent more on the monthly subscription than if I’d just bought those albums.

Now if podcasts became subscription only then I’d be in trouble.
 
I do podcasts a lot more than music as well. And hardly ever live radio, but quite a few radio podcasts.
 
Other than a few exceptions (mainly about unsolved murders) I’ve still to really get into podcasts.
 
There are a few podcasts I enjoy but they're talk ones - A-Z of David Bowie (which for copyright reasons contains no music at all), Off Menu, How I Found My Voice, the odd comedy podcast of interest and so on. I don't think I've ever discovered new music via a podcast.
