I'm trying to arrange some interviews today with potential staff, this is the sort of reply I get when I email offering the person an overview after receiving their cv;

Awww what's wrong with him?

Herniated lumbar discs. He was in hospital 4 nights last week. They decided not to operate but try a nerve root block injection, but it hasn't worked. Still under the consultant.

It came on about a week before he was admitted, but for a few days he just thought it was sciatica and was waiting to see if it would pass. Then he phoned the surgery, didn't see (or speak with) a GP but was referred to a physio a few days later. Physio referred him straight to hospital.

He was complaining of issues (kind of loss of sensation/numbness) with his lower leg/foot when climbing stairs for a few months before though, which was most likely it.
