Judging on Enya's immense importance to mankind, it feels wrong that she only has one solo #1. She was definitely a pioneer jumping onto the urban R&B hook girl trend, very clever to pick up those extras. I just wish she'd gone harder on promoting Only Time after September 11th to really get her numbers up.

As for the future, I could see her picking up a credit for guest humming on Band Aid 50 or something.

I don't know, could be any of these but I do think something new by her could do well (somewhere in the top 20?) in the UK charts.

As for UK album charts, a #1 for Enya is very possible. ♡

After Angles in Chainz and Half ov Moi by Geru didn't reach the top, I am a little hesitant about Enya doing it, however I have had a stern word with myself and OF COURSE SHE CAN, its a given, its written in the stars.

Back in 1988, Enya was very attuned to the charts when she was somewhere in them.

Then again it's always been more of a bonus than an aim for Enya to get a charting song (or get nominated for/win an award).
I think new Enya music will be more upbeat than Dark Sky Island was overall but the chance of one of her new compositions becoming mainstream catchy seems 50/50.

I did have doubts about Enya's ability to go "upbeat", but having heard the leak of her cover of "My Name Is Tallulah" I precict a HOT NUMBER ONE on the DISCO CHARTS

My honest answer is that there'll be no new #1 single from Enya, but a new single or three may do well as in something should make the top 40.
The mainstream music 'landscape' has definitely changed since 2015-16 (improved a bit) and favours the layered vocals with long reverb and synths more as well.
