One of those songs that always puts me in a good mood. It’s cheesy and schmaltzy, but so uplifting and irresistible at the same time. Wilson Philips’ harmonies are obviously amazing and some later girl groups clearly got influenced, such as OGENE from The Netherlands and also B*Witched covered Hold On in 2014. The music video is fabulous as well, love all the panorama shots. It was released just at the right time to become as massive as it did. What do you think?

One of my sisters used to blast this in her room all the time so it became quite grating after a while.

If I recall correctly it was in the charts at the same time as En Vogue’s song with the same title and had a similar chart run though I preferred the En Vogue song.

It's unstoppable.

Love the video with the in sync strutting.

The hairdressers I went to as a boy basically had framed pictures of models with their hair cuts and I remember thinking it was them.

About drug use too.

I blame Bridesmaids for it being overused in any TV show or film where they want to convey that it's set in the early 90s, or anything feel-good involving women. I can't help but like it though.

I once heard the whole of this album, I presume when it came out, played before I gig I was attending... for Fatima Mansions - who if you know them, you'll understand maybe that was certainly a choice.

The whole album is amazing. The other singles should have been huge too!
