Where are you going?

I have no holidays now until the end of September. So just two months of fudge hell to get through 💪

Oh I'm so jealous. Mandy and I keep saying we want to go and to do a proper WW2 tour.
I've been before 30 years ago, we have family there, they were at the wedding. So there'll be some of that.

Mr Ag has never been so we definitely want to do the salt mine and Aushwitz.

We're staying in the gorgeous city centre.

I definitely need to visit Krakow. We keep talking about it. Would we need a full 7 days or can you see the best bits in less?

You can easily spend a week there if you want to get out of the city centre though.

We did 10 days there, back in 94. There's lots of lovely things to see in rural south Poland. I recall getting sunburnt on a raft ride through a valley through the mountains in the border regions for example.

Just seen there are quite few spas in the countryside which I'm tempted by. Plus all the normal castles you'd expect in central Europe.

The weather is utterly depressing. Grey and humid. I'm just shattered.

We're heading to Krakow for a friends 40th, what with her being Polish and all. I'm expecting to do a lot of speed.

Ooh it borders Slovakia which I want to do as well. Winter holiday touring Europe!

I remember really enjoying Nowa Huta, the socialist planned suburb. And it was really cheap for eating out in.

And there was a fantastic modern art museum that happened to have an exhibition on by Eurotrash favourites Eva and Adele as well.

I thought about a holiday but my boiler's on its last legs so I think I'll need to bite the bullet and replace it.

The Schindler Enamel Factory is quite something as well. But if you're going to Auschwitz anyway, I'd say consider how harrowing you want a holiday to be before you commit to it.

I do love the salt mine in (near) Krakow.

If you go to Auschwitz, make sure to go to Auschwitz II (Birkenau) - sure, the former is harrowing and educational, but it's also very much a tourist showcase. Birkenau is just as it was, far fewer tourists and you get a better idea of the scale.

Oh we're committing. Maybe last day.

Found another garage for my car repairs who’ll do it for £700 less than my original quote :disco:

I feel like MARTIN LEWIS
