And yes I agree he’s a principled politician and can be a great political commentator to keep the left in check. But his idealism blinds his ability to see the bigger picture. Which includes the fact that he’s just not a good party leader either as a prospective PM (never going to happen) or even as a shadow leader.

I keep on expecting that with every Zarah Sultana announcement there will be a Jeremy Corbyn rebuttal the next day
 
They could definitely make things bright, breezy and re-electable with a tweak to that name.

Regardless of that PR stunt, Lucille isn't wrong. They definitely definitely need a better comms person.

They need money for that - they have 600000 sign-ups, no-one has paid a membership fee, as far as I'm aware and there's no-one in the background putting money to this, nor will there be because anyone rich enough to do so won't want them.
 
I would be interested to see some of the intersection between peoples' views on, say, Gaza/foreign policy, economic equality/wealth redistribution, and LGBTQ+ rights within the "progressive left." if many of those identifying as such have religious backgrounds/or are devout Muslims in many cases, it's not a stretch to imagine that they will not be actively pro-trans or gay rights for example as these are not the teachings of their religion.

how many MPs are there who belong to the left on all of these topics? is it realistic that there would be enough to launch a party? perhaps not.
 
I wonder, if this took off, would it be likely to take votes away from Labour, or Reform? Or, as I think would be the case, both?
 
Is there really much overlap between these guys and Reform?! It's pretty much all going to come from Labour and to a smaller extent Lib Dems and Greens, surely
