This means that like last year there will be a show with the winner announced at the end of it. I hope they don't do the three winners announced because that was lame.
 
I don't get Roxxxy's complaints, if she wants sewing challenges why doesn't she just go on Project Runway? People want to see drag queens perform and be funny, the audience doesn't really give a shit if the Queen made her dress or not. A drag queen out of drag slaving over a sewing machine every week doesn't really make for good TV either.

You mean film all three winning and then air the actual winner? This IS what they're going to do, Ru tweeted about it last week.

I read that too. He wants to book them for 3 consecutive months, but is asking people to pay up now. I can't say I'm not curious. I would go for Michelle as I want to ask her a few things (I assume she won't be that hard to get near).
 
I'd like a UK version, but I don't think I've ever seen a drag queen in real life up here in Scotland that even met the standards of Penny Tration.
 
Where do you get all this info about Lady Munter's guests? I think all three of those would be AMAZING, especially Michelle Visage. Though I can't imagine ANY of them will come cheap!

That is awesome, I'm only annoyed that it puts mine completely in the SHADE, although I'm deluded enough to believe I'm being ripped off with some remarkably similar editing motifs such as the use of the hand click :disco:

I've got the main show downloaded, but not Untucked. I'm almost tempted not to watch as we now have a fucking RE-CAP episode coming next week, because they're always so much fun.

In a way I am glad they are shooting three winners as the Miss Congeniality announcement will hopefully be more memorable by contrast to the staleness of Sharon's Norma Desmond esque movement, which I don't think she'd have done if it was simply the one announcement. If I knew the night they filmed it I would just avoid looking.
 
Alaska was by far the best on tonight's show, but after not having a favourite for about the first 7 episodes, I've come round to the fact that Jinkx might be my favourite contestant of all time. Just too adorable.

Roxxxy on the other hand is possibly my least favourite. Talk about HUMOURLESS. 'You are insulting drag by saying it is about comedy'... EUUUGH...
 
Oh you have blonde highlights on your wig, mine is looking rather shabby these days, but that's what you get for getting blind drunk everytime you wear it.

To give the toxic cunt with a festered tampon crusted inside it credit, Roxxy's runway look was divine. However, she is out of her depth when the challenges call upon, not so much comedy, but actual flair and a personality that can share the moment with others. I cringed when she gave "where my people at" another airing with that loathsome shrill of his.

Alaska had me in FITS when she was explaining her character (I was thinking Joey Tribbiani's agent Estelle - I rewound it 3 times, my jaw was in pain), and I also loved her channeling Cher's courtroom turn in Suspect (major 'much excite' for that), but Jinkx is just so talented at playing characters, it really is a privilege to watch.

I was willing to give Roxxy the benefit of the doubt after the letter of rupology, but he was so angry and unpleasant. Again. I was so glad Jinkx said what she said, and then when Alaska reiterated the comments Roxxy made (for COMEDY etc) it was a nice touch. Once again, Detox's letters let her down.

Alaska's eyes looked good on the runway (and the padding looked wonky yet again), but it the look hasn't progressed, and Jinkx's dress looked dreadful if I'm honest.

Jinkx dress was the ridiculously cheap and a fire hazard as well but never mind that once she wins $100,000 hunty she will buy proper dresses.

Roxxxy is just sad, she looks good but her insecurity was so obvious. I like Alaska a lot but she's not there yet, second place is fitting. Also did we know that Willam, Alaska and Michelle will be staring in a production of the Rocky Horror Show :D I would give my life to watch that.

I didn't know that Willam and Michelle were doing it, I just knew that Alaska was playing whatever role Sharon did. Michelle needs to fill out those upcoming solo PA set-lists (if not her clothes) somehow I guess.
 
Yay for Tinu in drag :disco:

This week's episode was pretty good, I really liked the characters both Alaska and Jinkx played, very funny and well developed. On the runway Jinkx looked lik a mess. I also think Roxxxy was at her most rancid this episode, just plain obnoxious. That apology and I love you to Jinkx on the runway is the fakest thing ever said on the show. Though this comes at a point where such an attitude from Roxxxy hardly comes a shocker.
 
Roxxxy is just a walking contradiction in every way.

Trying to be funny with her Tamar Braxton schtick. Fails. 'Comedy is making fun of drag'.

'I lost 60 pounds to make myself feel better about myself'. 'I'm doing this for all the larger queens out there'.

'I say it like it is and I don't apologise for it'. 'Sorry Jinkx. (Ru PLEASE give me $100,000)'
 
Now I've caught up on Seasons 4 and 5 I can FINALLY come back to this thread

I'm very much #TeamAlaska - Hieeeeeeee - but I was really impressed by Roxxxy throughout the season :o
 
For me this final comes down to two things - looks v personality.

There&rsquo;s no doubt Roxxxy has the look, she&rsquo;s turned out some great outfits and has looked sensational a lot of the time &ndash; even though her look is rather textbook drag queen.

On the other side you have Jinkx, who definitely has the personality. Every time there has been an acting or performing challenge, she has excelled. She has a quirky sense of humour and there&rsquo;s not many drag queens like her out there.

Where one is strong, the other is weaker. Roxxxy has been rather weak when it comes to the performing aspect of it, the court room challenge showed this, and Jinkx is rather rough round the edges with her look at times &ndash; she certainly has her own niche which not everyone will get.

Alaska is somewhat of a combination of the two &ndash; she isn&rsquo;t quite as strong as either of them in their own speciality but is a decent enough all-rounder. I think distancing herself from Rolaskatox worked to her advantage &ndash; if anything, I think she would work better as an act alongside Jinkx, and Alaska was never nasty to Jinkx throughout the process.

So what way will it go? It&rsquo;s difficult to say. You could argue that a drag queen is all about looking amazing on stage but then you could argue that a drag queen is all about a performance too.

For me, I think personality outweighs looks every time. This is NOT America&rsquo;s Next Top Model where it&rsquo;s all about looking good. Drag queens get paid to perform in clubs across the world, if they don&rsquo;t captivate the audience they have failed. You can learn the skills of creating outfits, make-up etc, but it&rsquo;s much more difficult to learn the art of performing.

That&rsquo;s why, I think Jinkx should win this. She has consistently been one of the funniest and most engaging queens, and all without resorting to putting people down. I&rsquo;d also pay money to go see her over any of the other finalists, and at the end of the day that&rsquo;s how a drag queen makes her living. We all love a bit of bitching etc, but Roxxxy has taken it too far &ndash; her behaviour towards Jinkx these past few weeks has been nothing short of disgraceful. Kudos to Jinkx for not rising to her bait. And Roxxxy apologising to Jinkx live on stage in front of the judges was such a selfish and calculated move, and so so so fake.

I actually will be FUMING if Roxxxy wins. FUMING. I&rsquo;m really hoping that with Ru asking the public who they want to win via social media will be a disadvantage for Roxxxy, as I&rsquo;m sure Jinkx and Alaska are much more popular with the public.

So I&rsquo;m TEAM JINKX for the win, however if Alaska wins I wouldn&rsquo;t be too devastated.
 
Quite a considered post there Kala.

I think Roxxxy has had some great performance moments - the kids TV show and Snatch Game, for example. I wouldn't really support her winning, but I'd probably pick her over Jinkx, whose runway looks have all been pretty boring. (But yes, she's definitely a very good performer)

The recap episode expose JUST how many CRAP QUEENS there were this season, but thankfully they were all ejected in quick succession
