But it appears she’s only in one episode.
Thank goodness for that. I expect she's only doing it to buy more CHLOÉ

But it appears she’s only in one episode.

I don't think she's had any noticeable work done at all. She just has some extra lines, WHICH DOES HAPPEN

Isabelle Huppert, at 65, should stop playing a seductress if she remains fully clothed in all scenes. A body-double could also be used if her age is the problem. Visual effects keep her face ridiculously youthful and it is in contrast with the faces of male actors that show their real age.
Interviewer: "You're a private person, yet as an actress you go out literally naked..."
Madame: "On stage?"
Interviewer: "On film."
Madame: "Very rarely."
Interviewer: "Do you understand the point that I'm making?"
Madame: "No."

"Do you know that thing the southern Spanish say about the Catalans?" I ask her. "That they are so secretive that, if you're in a department store, waiting for the lift, and the door opens and there's a Catalan is inside, they won't even tell you if it's going up or down?"
"That can't apply to me, because... I am going to tell you a little private detail about myself, now."
"Feel free."
"I am claustrophobic. I never take lifts."
["I am claustrophobic," Huppert told a French interviewer, six years ago. "I hate lifts."]

"You know what this conversation reminds me of? Have you seen that play Variations Enigmatiques, by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, that Alain Delon performed a few years back?"
"No. I know of it."
"It's about a journalist who's sent to interview a reclusive artist, played by Delon. He shoots at the reporter, actually."
"Really? He shoots at a journalist?" asks Huppert, whose sense of humour never quite deserts her. She puts on a "now I'm interested" look. "At the beginning of the interview, or at the end?"
"You have three children – I imagine I'm walking on dangerous territory here..."
"Oh, listen, you've been walking on dangerous territory for almost two hours, so don't start saying that now. This," she adds, very good-naturedly, "cannot get any worse."
I want ALL her interviews to be published in a BIG GLOSSY BOOK with lots of FABULOUS PHOTOS.![]()
“I play states of mind… character is a perception for whoever sees the film but not for myself. I don’t play a character. I just play an encounter between me and certain states of mind. Is that clear?”
Journalists who have interviewed her in the past have suggested that she has become friendlier and more open () since her Oscar nomination last year. Put this to her and she replies: “Not necessarily. Maybe I am more awake this morning.”

There was a great interview (in The Guardian, I think) where she apparently sort of WANDERED OFF halfway through![]()
Would she describe herself as post-feminist? “I wouldn’t describe myself. I wouldn’t bother.” She gets up and strides across the room. For a strange moment, I think she might be walking out.
Am finally getting round to watching ‘Souvenir’ (the one where Madame works in the pâté factory) and it really is a silly load of old nonsense which I’m quite enjoying regardless. I mean as if that shabby little ditty would be chosen for ANY contest, and especially not when sung like THAT

I want to see “Golden Youth” starring MADAME and the absolutely beautiful Lukas Ionesco (who I am currently obsessed with). It seems VERY FRENCH, so much so that I doubt it will be released elseWHERE.
